hi! i’m alexis (they/them) —

i’m an artist, writer, teacher and aspiring animist, currently based in kansas city, where i grew up. i’ve previously lived in nyc, san francisco and los angeles. i consider myself a life-long student of spirit, from my upbringing in a wildly creative family and uniquely methodist church, through to my later experiences of wicca, yoga, mysticism, martial arts and ritual performance.

when you engage me as practitioner, you engage the full scope of my years of daily practice, all the teachers, colleagues and students who have been a part of my growth, and the helping spirits with which i tend intimate relationship. i endeavor to teach, share and facilitate from a place of integrity, which includes accountability to the standards of my community and agreements i’ve made with my teachers, and clarity around what i can and can’t offer safely.

my vision for sharing this work through star service is a world where queer and trans people remember their belonging, artists remember the necessity of their gifts and all people remember earth-honoring, soul-tending community as their human birthright.
