Slava was great. All our guests enjoyed his playing and he made the evening so much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend him

Slava is a great performer however, there were times when the music was a little too loud for some of our guests and we asked to turn the volume down a bit but he was not very receptive. Other than that, it was great.
Thank you!

Response from Staten Island Band:
Tammy, I am sorry that the music initially was too loud. However what you wrote is not quite true. I was asked couple times to low the music, and every time I made the volume of backing tracks lower until I reached the point that I could not hear the backing tracks at all. Then I decided to turn them off and played just by my own. So, I did what I was told by waiters.
Played beautiful! Very professional. Responded in a timely manner to my text, email . I would highly highly recommend!
Everyone enjoyed his talent :)

Staten Island Band did a great job playing for our wedding. We hadn't hired a violinist before, and did not know exactly what we wanted. They made it very easy and accessible to plan our songs.
They also showed up on time and were playing perfectly without a lot of guidance and micromanagement. This was for a ~140 person event. They did a great job and I STRONGLY recommend the Staten Island Band!

Response from Staten Island Band:
Pete, thank you very much for such a review.
I cannot imagine a violinist I would have rather had playing during my daughter’s wedding. With minimal effort, Slava and I arranged the music for the event. He arrived an hour and a half before the event, unobtrusively set up and practiced, and performed with a true maestro’s ear and talent. Playing everything from the Thais Meditation to Nat King Cole’s L.O.V.E. , Slava Gelfand filled the outdoor wedding venue with beautifully rendered music. He is an artist who lets his talent speak for itself. And it speaks with grace, poise and beauty!
I recommend Slava Gelfand to anyone who loves violin music played not just with competence, but with a master’s touch. He is also completely reliable, an absolute professional.
