Stefanie Potter is a Charleston-based singer-songwriter, and “artist of the heart,” writing therapeutic and socially conscious music. Her music thrives in nonprofit / charity fundraising events, therapeutic / awareness events, or faith-based events, but can she provide a feel-good environment for any public or private event.
Her guitar-driven sound is influenced by alternative rock, soul, and folk music. Cover songs span the decades. Stefanie’s performances strike a balance between meaningful depth, spunky determination, and quirky fun.

We had Stephanie out for a 65 person event on the patio of a local pub. She arrived extra early to make sure she was set up, required no direction from me, and played great tune reading the vibe of the room and acting accordingly. I plan to hire her again in the future for this type of event.

Solo: Stefanie’s set combines soulful originals and family-friendly covers that span the decades. Solo guitar (semi-hollow electric and/or acoustic), vocals, drum pedal, looper for jamming (up to 3 hour blended set).
Duo/Trio/Full Band: Full electric band (or a smaller combination) with keys, drums, bass. Up to 90 minute original set, with some cover songs by request. Full band of professional adults with respectful attitudes.

As a social worker and person of faith, she is transparent for the sake of compassionate connection, which brings healing and hope. Stefanie’s music has been shared on OHM Radio Charleston, the award-winning “Women of Substance” podcast, various independent radio stations, playlists, magazines, blog features, and news sources. She was invited to perform at the first annual Southern Songwriter Festival, had the honor of opening for nationally renowned comedian, Chonda Pierce, and was selected out of over 2000 applicants to perform at the Cooper River Bridge Run for three consecutive years. She has released 3 EPs as an independent artist, with the most recent being completely self-produced.
Stefanie started playing guitar at age six with her father’s church group in Hilton, NY, and has been a gigging musician since 2002. She began writing music regularly in her teens, as a way to process hard times and have her voice heard. Stefanie fronted a rock band that released 3 EPs and performed consistently around Western New York for 10 years. She continues today as a songwriter, recording artist, and performer in Charleston, SC, sharing soulful originals and covers that span the generations.
