I'm very adaptable to all kinds of performing situations, everything from restaurants, bars, hotel lounges, pool parties, private parties, backyard barbecues, house concerts, campfires, ect. Probably my strongest cover genres are 60's,/ 70's/ 90's classic rock and folk. I feel the most authentic to my roots when I'm doing that stuff. But don't be surprised if I slip in a Britney Spears or Abba cover to throw people off in the best way possible. haha.
Hello GigSalad and associates! My name is Stephen Perricone and I am a professional musician (guitarist/singer) based out of Beaumont, TX. I have been playing professionally for over 20 years. Before Covid hit I was living the dream in Los Angeles. I moved to LA in 2002 to attend Musicians Institute and further my craft. After school I played in bands with the resident teachers, fellow classmates and performed solo around the city in various forms. In 2014 I became part of a regular acoustic cover song residency at a famous bar/restaurant on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood called Saddle Ranch. After a couple of years I ended up becoming one of the main featured performers 4-5 nights a week and took over booking the resident musicians. A ton of private party work came out of that residency too from the customers, which was definitely one of the perks!! Was doing that right up until Covid shut everything down. I relocated back to Texas in August of 2020 to be with family and have been establishing myself in the local music scene ever since! I play an eclectic mix of cover styles (classic rock, pop, folk, & some country) that span the 60's-early 2000's. My song list is about 200 songs or so and can fill hours of entertainment for all kinds of occasions! I do originals as well if the gig calls for them. Below is a summarized resume of some of my experiences

I set my local pay rate for Southeast, TX (Beaumont, Nederland, Orange, Crystal Beach areas) to $200 first hour (one hour minimum), $150 per hour for each hour added to set time. (Local rates are negotiable within reason, just wanted to set a base rate, based on the average of what I usually make) Gigs outside of South East Texas , the pay rates will be more and discussed overbooking. I have my own personal compact line array PA I bring with me wherever I go. It's great for smaller events (dive bars/coffee houses/modest restaurants/backyards/etc..) and can act as a monitor that can connect to bigger PAs if need be. For bigger events, a PA must be provided. I definitely prefer easy parking and not having to carry gear too far. Easy access to plugging in and an extension chord if mine doesn't reach. Every situation is different of course and the details can be discussed during booking regarding gear requirements. If the gig is outside I'd definitely like protection from the elements...(adequate cover from the beating sun, rain, and heaters if it's cold, etc..). I've learned that lesson the hard way over the years and thank you for understanding. :)
