I play all styles of music. This makes me very adaptable to a large variety of events.
I am willing to travel up to 1500 miles, but there are certain requirements for that distance.

He did just we had agreed on. Arrived on time, set up, and played good music for 3 hours with 15 min. breaks every 45 min. Wonderful background music that people hummed along with when not conversing. Many guests commented on how nice the music was and that it added some class. I was very satisfied.

I can provide professional piano music to fit almost any style of music needed. I have over 35 years of piano experience and can play in all styles of music including but not limited to: Big Band, Gospel, Pop, Classical, Country-Western, Broadway, Praise and Worship, Traditional Church music, Contemporary Christian, Jazz and others.
Stephen R. Murphy has been performing, writing and arranging music for over 35 years. A graduate of the prestigious Spring Arbor University, he is a composer and concert artist who is in high demand as a pianist, accompanist and vocal soloist. He is currently a master adjunct at Jackson College where he teaches musical understanding.. He is also the pastor of worship at Spring Arbor Church of the Nazarene. In 2004, he founded the Jackson Studio of Musical Arts in Jackson, MI. He has recorded several full length albums all of which can be found on (link hidden) and his piano and vocal performances can be found on YouTube.com.
I provide my own sound system which can be large or small depending on the venue. I also bring my own digital piano. I can provide microphones and an LCD projector if those are needed as well.

I literally have hundreds of songs in each genre to choose from for any event. All that is required is for you to let me know your main style of music and I can then pick songs from that genre. If you have any specific songs you would like played, simply let me know and I will play them as well. My goal is your satisfaction.
I have many groups that have influenced my musical style over the past 40 years. I don't have just one or two or several groups to name because the list would be very long. I pride myself with being to play in ANY style that is needed. Jazz influences would include: Beegie Adair, Vince Guaraldi, Dennis Solee, Sam Levine, Jack Jezzro, George Tidwell, Stan Kenton and many others!
I provide all of my own equipment.
