For Our Bagpiper we reached out to Stephen Wilkinson. What an amazing performance he did for the Service of my Beloved Mother. Bagpipes were her jam right up to her 97th Birthday.
Stephen drew the Family with his amazing piping to the Chapel and out side the Mauseleum of where my Mother was laid to rest in the Family ernment. Stephen played with so much emotion "Amazing Grace" which was my request.
Stephen is a professional and knows exactly what to do. He was very kind and attentive to our needs to have made this a special day for the Family. I would definitely seek out Stephen again.

Mr. Wilkinson was great communicating & made adjustments on the fly, during my dad’s memorial (he was U.S.Navy & retired LE). Being a musician myself, he knows his instrument which shows in his quality performance & pro quality instrument. If you want quality, Stephen is your man. We hired Stephen to play at the memorial service for my cousin, who had requested bagpipes. He showed up with plenty of time to meet with me for any details, as well as to be briefed by the minister so that they could work out timing issues. His work was a beautiful addition to the service. Stephen was hired to play three songs for my fathers funeral. As we marched to the grave site, Stephen continued to play. After the services he played again. Stephan performed at my husbands funeral mass. He looked great, was early and played as requested. I appreciated that he worked directly with the church's music director regarding when to start, end which allowed me to be free of worry while the service was in progress. We hired Stephen at our Presbyterian church to help celebrate our pastor receiving his doctorate from Stirling University in Scotland, and since our pastor is of Scottish heritage, we thought a bagpiper would be appropriate. It was a bit difficult trying to get the timing right on everything because we didn't know exactly when we wanted Stephen to start playing. He was flexible and entered at just the right time, even made note of a drizzle outside, so he led the pastor and family directly into our Fellowship Hall, and stayed to continue playing. Stephen was awesome. When I googled bagpiper there were several options. He said to just call him directly to make it easier and that's what appealed to me at the time. My Mother had passed away and I know she would have loved a Bagpiper at her mass. It took only 2 minutes to find him, make the call and secure a date and time! Besides the wonderful music, what made Stephen so special was his personality. he was so approachable that the guests felt comfortable talking to him. Also I loved the fact that from my first communications with him he made it clear that he wanted the party to be enjoyable for everyone. Our interactions felt more like a friend who would give ideas instead of a stranger interested in business dealings. So many of my friends commented about not only the music, but about Stephen.

I asked Stephen to play for my Dad's funeral services; both at the grave site ceremony and at the church ceremony. Stephen was wonderful from start to finish. He played Amazing Grace at Dad's grave site, and had the suggestion to march off into the distance while still playing the song. What a great idea! It was a beautiful tribute for my Dad. Then, Stephen patiently waited through the entire church service and then beautifully played Scotland the Brave in the church sanctuary and for the folks entering the reception. He was dressed to the nines in full, gorgeous Scottish regalia. I had numerous comments on his beautiful playing. It was an honor and privilege to send off Dad with such gorgeous Great Highland Bagpipes playing for him. It really made the entire day for me.

We hired Stephen to surprise the guests at our annual Scotch Tasting party. He was a hit! Very professional through the planning stages and then on party day, he arrived in a timely fashion and was a pleasure to work with. I had a rare occasion to hire a bagpipe player for a memorial event. The deceased happened to have been from Scotland originally and thus, a bagpipe player was an ideal aspect to have at a memorial which I wanted to make sure provided some entertainment for those attending.

Stephen was also very responsive during the planning process which when planning a destination wedding was much appreciated.

Stephen the bagpiper was amazing at my mom's funeral. He played amazing grace at the church and several songs at the gravesite. He was super helpful in planning, especially with song selection. I can't say enough about his professionalism. He showed up early and warmed up so he would have optimal sound in the church.

My entire family and friends really enjoyed Stephen Wilkinson. He played at my Brothers memorial service in a backyard and the timing was perfect and he played amazing grace and there was not a dry eye in the place. It was Beautiful. Steven was very accessible and communicated well with me and the police color guard to make the service flow well. We had a fifteen minute delay waiting for family. During that time, Steven played several songs making the delay a bit easier to accept. He played the Marine Corps Hymn along with a Scottish tune and Amazing Grace, which ended the service. Very pleased with his performance and he took care of details so I would not have to during this stressful time.

I was born in Scotland, my whole family is born there, so when it came down to my wedding day I always knew I wanted a bagpiper to play at my ceromony. Living in Southern California now, I didn't know if I could find an authentic piper to play at my wedding, that was until found Stephen Wilkerson! Not only did he ask what I wanted him to play,but he asked what colors he should wear that would best suit my wedding. I hired Stephen to play for My daughters wedding on April 4th 2015. As our guest where shuttled up the hill in a golf cart to there surprise There was Stephen playing for are guest and it was a big hit. Stephen then played his bagpipes as I escorted my Daughter down the aisle while I was in my formal Scottish Kilt. After the wedding ceremony Stephen escorted the wedding party out to the reception area. What a fabulous day. Stephen did an excellent job recently playing at my Grandfathers funeral. He was on time, very professional and understood the process at Riverside National Cemetery very well. As a fellow piper, I can say his playing was top notch. I highly recommend Stephan.

The idea was floated to find a Bagpipe player for our preschool for the St. Patrick's Day party. I was so lucky to find Stephen available for the morning. His formal wear for the day was as beautiful as the songs he played. He was well versed and shared great stories about the music, showed the kids how his Bagpipe worked, and talked about historical significance of of the songs and dances...all to a bunch of 4 year olds who ate it up! Stephen led the kids in a parade around the school and let the kids wear and hold all of his accessories. It was a wonderful day and while it was a first for our school to do something like this, I am sure it will not be the last.

I had a 50th birthday party for my husband last weekend. He is Irish and that was the theme of the party. I wanted to make it special and decided to hire a bagpiper to sing happy birthday to him and to also entertain our guests. After searching online I decided to go with Stephen and could not have made a better choice. It was the best part of the evening. He was wonderful and made our night magical. Very professional, we were all extremely impressed. I'd hire him again without a second thought.

My husband and I had an Indian wedding ceremony in which the groom arrives at the temple with his friends and family in a boisterous processional. Typically the group is accompanied by live Indian drums, but we wanted to honor both my Indian culture and his Scottish culture with the addition of bagpipes to the processional. He had great communication with us prior to the event, arrived timely, looked great in his traditional garb, and played beautifully in conjunction with the Indian drums. I found Stephen online, and booked him to play at my mother's funeral. If anyone has planned a funeral in the middle of mourning, you realize how spacey you can be. Stephen patiently reminded me of what info he needed, and gave me the space without being pushy. That day I just trusted that this stranger on the internet wouldn't let me down - and he didn't. As we pulled up to the cemetery, Stephen was there, in traditional Scottish dress, playing the bagpipes beautifully for the procession. I absolutely loved the way Stephen played and dealt with his client. He just did everything right without receiving ANY instructions from me, other than the date, time and address. Thankful I picked him out of the others.

Stephen did an amazing job playing the bagpipes for the processional and recessional at our daughter's wedding at Coyote Hills Golf Course in May 2014. The music was both powerful and passionate. We received many compliments from the wedding guests! He was very available via email when we initially contacted him, as well as skyping with the couple to audition various songs for the wedding and throughout the entire planning process. Stephen Wilkinson came to our American Legion (Newport Beach) for St. Pats. He squeezed us in between other jobs. We started outside and led a little procession around the outside seating area to the ballroom inside where he played three more tunes to great applause and stayed for pictures with our enthusiastic audience members. I hired Stephen as a surprise to my wife at our wedding. It was a secret to all but a couple of our vendors who had to coordinate. Stephen did a wonderful job at being flexible and professional, beginning with his excellent communication via email, phone, and Skype through interviewing him and leading up to the wedding once he was hired. I put a lot of effort into finding the right fit and I am very happy with the choice!

It was very important for Stephen to be flexible, which he did and then some. Coming in as a surprise at the end of the ceremony, I was not sure how many songs we would want him to play. Stephen improvised a little bit for us, changing the song selection up we had discussed beforehand to fit the mood perfectly, and then he played some more songs for us as the party moved over to the cocktail hour (all at the same venue).

Stephen even learned a song for us, my wife's favorite hymn, and it sounded wonderful. He also wore his purple kilt that I requested to match our wedding colors.
