Overview
How do you want your wedding to be remembered? As a formal service where people keep checking their phones waiting for the reception to start? Or as a higher energy, engaging gathering where everyone in attendance feels like they are part of something special?
For years after the wedding, are you hoping your family and friends are still talking about "the best wedding they have ever been to!" ?
This is my goal as your officiant! I don't do boring, formal weddings -- if that's what you want, there are plenty of others to choose from!

Steve did an amazing job with the ceremony. This was for my son and daughter in law. He made them feel very special and his words were truly heartfelt. He took time to listen the Bride and Groom with what they wanted the ceremony to be and personalized it with them. He is a really genuine person, and I recommend him fully. He does a tremendous job!

Bob, it was such an honor to be part of the wedding. It was a pleasure meeting you and your family, and they could not have picked a more beautiful day or location. Thanks for your kind words and best wishes on the journey ahead.
Steve was fabulous at helping with my last minute new years eve wedding. We wanted a small yet personal ceremony and he made that happen with very little notice! Would highly recommend him so easy to work with and helpful!!

Thank you for the kind words Jennifer. It was so fun to be a small part of the wedding with Jason, your daughter, and your friends. You were a trooper hanging in there in sub-zero windchill on the roof off of Lake Superior. But it was beautiful and you all looked great. Hope your journey forward as a married couple is amazing!
We originally were suppose to be married in the Dominican but the pandemic COVID-19 canceled our plans. We quickly scheduled a date with a judge to find out that this date would also be canceled. I reached out to gig salad, and Steve quickly sent me a quote. The process was quick and I loved that Steve was able to ask all the important question to get to know us quickly. We loved that Steve was heart warming, sincere and gave an over all vibe that he was happy to be there for us!
Thank you again Steve for officiating our wedding! We loved every moment!

Steve did such a great job as the officiant for our February wedding. We had a video chat prior to the wedding and he was able to get info about our personalities and incorporate that into our ceremony. He was able to accommodate us by being available by phone whenever we would need! He traveled quite a ways to make our ceremony and never missed a beat!
He was wonderful to work with, easy to talk too, and even checked up on us after the wedding was over!
5 stars!
Thank you Steve! We are blessed to have had you a part of our special day. GO HAWKS! ;)

This was such a fun wedding and an amazing honor to be a part of it. Seeing the closeness of you, your friends, and family left me with such a great feeling on the drive home. Thanks for trusting me with your big day; I consider it an honor to have played even a small part in your day. GO HAWKS.
Steve was so perfect for our event! He asked questions, got to know us and delivered exactly what we wanted for our special day! He fit in perfectly with all of our quirky requests and made our wedding a true celebration but very thoughtful and emotional. We couldn't have asked for anyone better!
Steve was awesome and had a very good speech that made me and my wife feel even closer than before to each other and the family all enjoyed him too!

Steve recently officiated our outdoor wedding ceremony in LaCrosse, WI. I think he set the tone for a most amazing wedding and reception to follow. Steve's message transcended generations, he not only touched the heart of my 12 year-old son, but also my 80 year-old Mother. Several guests told me it was the best wedding they have ever attended! That says a lot! All together, with Steve's message, the lighting of the Unity Candle, the ceremony was just about 30 minutes. I could have added a couple of Reader's to lengthen the time, because, if you're like me, you never want it to end.
There were not many dry eyes in the house! Steve "nailed it" with his message of Love! If you want to have an Amazing ceremony, hire Steve Fredlund to officiate.

What to Expect
I am very professional (30 years in the corporate world will do that to ya!). The process is basically:
1) We meet via Zoom to hear your story and vision for the wedding
2) I send you a google doc with questions about the day to make sure we are fully aligned
3) We meet again via Zoom as we get closer to answer any lingering questions
4) Absolutely anything else you need!
5) Wedding day we celebrate your marriage!
About
Steve Fredlund spent 30 years in various leadership roles in Fortune 500 companies, nonprofits and entrepreneurial endeavors. He is currently a professional keynote speaker focused on helping people become happier by surrounding themselves with the right people. He is a two-time TEDx speaker but absolutely loves officiating wedding; its such an honor to be part of the beginning of a marriage journey.
As a former Executive Pastor, Steve knows the frustration when pastors or other wedding officiants make the ceremony about themselves or use it as an opportunity to try to convince people to believe something not related to the wedding.... or when it's just flat-out boring.
Steve works hard to change all that with a message that is personal to the couple but also engages those in attendance in a way that honors them and brings them closer into the celebration.
Additional Booking Notes
If it's a small group we don't need a microphone; but if a microphone is needed (so people can hear or for recording purposes), then the preference would be a lapel microphone followed by a handheld.
Ideally there would be a stand to hold notes but I can make do if there is not -- we want the pictures to not be cluttered -- :)
