Overview
Steve Waddington is the #1 Multi-Tribute Entertainer working today! When it comes to Dean Martin, Neil Diamond, or Johnny Cash, no other performer even comes close! Rose Diamond (Neil's mom) said "The Best! You sound just like my son!" Deana Martin exclaimed "We LOVE how you honor Dad's songs with such love and respect. A true tribute!" Kris Kristofferson said "You sound so much like Cash, it's scary!" Johnny Cash's California relatives remarked "...excellent show! You sound more like Johnny Cash than J.R. did at times!" Neil Diamond's horn section dropped in to one of Steve's show and said they'd "never heard anyone sound so much like Neil". AND, he puts on a GREAT show! A true talent!

Steve was entertaining, professional, funny and extraordinarily talented. This event surprised The Birthday Girl and was thoroughly enjoyed by all participants (virtually). Thank you to Steve and Susan.
Without exception, the best!

We cannot imagine anyone better! Steve is a true tribute artist who absolutely blew us away as Neil Diamond for my Aunt and friend's dual Birthday party. I am so grateful that he was able to do such a small intimate party. We feel so lucky! Seriously, what a VOICE and what a PRO. Thank you Steve and thank you Gig Salad.
Neil Diamond Tribute
Steve performed at our home for the 60th Wedding Anniversary of our parents. They drove up from LA (we're in Northern CA) arrived promptly, setup their equipment and played some light music for us through dinner. Dinner ran a little late but they were very accommodating. After dinner they put on a fantastic show! They whole family was up on their feet at one point. Our Parents - who are huge Niel Diamond fans - were thrilled! Steve really looks and sounds like Niel. Even all of the younger generation loved the music and several commented on how good it was even though they didn't know those were Niel Diamond songs! All through the process we had excellent communication with Steve. I would highly recommend Steve - if you're thinking about it - just do it - it will make your party an event of a lifetime!
Thank you Steve for coming ask the way to perform even while you were still recovering from your fall. Hope you get well soon and continue to spread the joy!
Absolutely the best performance ever will definatly use them again

Steve and his band were fantastic. They made the event.
He sounded great, he set the tone for the night and he was a natural MC.
I can’t thank him and his band enough!

Thank you Erika. Your professionalism as an event specialist and your attention to detail made my job so much easier! Hope to work with you again!
Steve did an amazing job performing for my Mom’s birthday! He sounded truly amazing! He was the life of the party! She has always been a Neil Diamond fan so we wanted to surprise her by bringing “Neil” to the party and he made that happen.
Neil Diamond Tribute
Steve performed Dino, Johnny, & Neil at my mother's 80th birthday party. This was a small group at noon on a Sunday, in a room full of windows. Steve treated that performance like he was at Carnegie Hall. Totally rocked it. He had a room full of 80 year olds on their feet dancing and singing. And of course, everyone loved me for booking him. And he was hilarious. I have seen impersonators in the past who do a good job mimicking the original, but Steve is extremely funny as well. Not only funny, but funny in the style of the original performer.
We especially enjoyed when Susan joined in on Jackson and she did a great job performing while Steve was doing costume changes.
I'm only giving Steve a 5 star review because there isn't an option for 100!

We hired Steve to be a Johnny Cash impersonator for my fathers 90th birthday party. He did a Great job! Everyone commented about how much he looked and sounded like Johnny Cash after his performance. And his girlfriend did an outstanding June Carter Cash for their duets.
They gave us exactly what we asked for. They were Very professional. On time. Polite. Personable. Great performers.
We definitely got our money’s worth.
Johnny Cash Impersonator
Perfect. From start to finish, excellent! Not to worry, when you hire Steve and his people they will do exactly what you need. Told him what I envisioned and he made it happen. Would do it all over again. They are great!

My guests loved him. Soooo easy to work with.
Good thing he left plenty of cards because I've already been asked for all of them.

Steve performed for one of our corporate events. He arrived early, was set up and ready to perform well in advance of the party. He brought his music in the format requested and worked well with our DJ/sound tech, and with the other talent. Steve was engaging with our guests during his meet/greet and especially in the course of performing. Steve is extremely talented, has a beautiful voice, and performs each of his characters exceedingly well. The guests loved him. And the client remarked that he was extremely professional to perform past his allotted time when one of our talent was running late. Steve ensured there was no lapse in entertainment for our guests. I will be hiring Steve again!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Steve and "June." He blew all of our guests away with his amazing Johnny Cash songs and even went out of his way to get tracks for some of my husband's other favorites like Chuck Berry. Steve was so kind, flexible, punctual, and just a wonderful overall entertainer. Thank you for making Eric's 40th bday such a special event!

Response from Steve Waddington "Dino, Diamond, & Cash" and more!:
Thank you Stacey and Eric! We had fun too! You made it very easy for us to perform. Everyone was so nice and complimentary! You have wonderful friends and family!
Thank you for being prompt. It was a great show and thanks for adding a bit of humor! Everybody can always use a good laugh! Thanks again.

I hired Steve to perform at my mom's memorial service. My mom loved Neil Diamond and having Steve perform at her service was a perfect tribute to her. Steve was highly professional and very sensitive to the nature of the event. He asked appropriate questions, was compassionate and willing to accommodate any requests I had. His performance was outstanding. He sounds so much like Neil that "impressive" doesn't begin to describe his talent. His professionalism began from the moment he sent me his initial quote down to the breakdown of his equipment and exit from the event. He kept me informed of each step along the way without being intrusive. He left me feeling confident and trusting of him and that freed me up to manage and focus on all of the other details of the memorial service without having to worry about him. I would absolutely hire Steve again without hesitation and would highly recommend him to anyone. The feedback from those in attendance was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed his contribution to remembering my mom. Thank you Steve for making what was a difficult event for me, a bright celebration of my mom's life!
Neil Diamond Tribute
Response from Steve Waddington "Dino, Diamond, & Cash" and more!:
It was truly an honor to be a part of the celebration of your Mom's life. Learning what a devoted fan she was of Neil Diamond, performing in a church, and seeing all those warm smiles, filled me with inspiration! (For a fleeting moment I actually felt like "Brother Love" leading the congregation in prayer and song for a truly remarkable woman!) A unique and wonderful memorial. Thank you, Jennifer!
Steve Waddington and his band entertained for our holiday party. He was personable, spectacular and a lot of fun. Guests came up to me and told me it was the best entertainment that we have ever had at the annual party. Definitely recommend and we will use him again.

Steve Waddington aka Neil Diamond was fantastic. He performed for my mother's 85th birthday party. He looks and sounds just like Neil. Steve made my mother feel so special by kissing her hand and dancing with her while singing her favorite Neil Diamond songs. She was thrilled! I highly recommend using Steve Waddington.

Thank you Teri! You, your friends and family, and the birthday girl, were all so much fun! Made it an easy gig for me! And thank you for your generosity! All the best!
Steve, Susan & Group did an amazing job entertaining our guests and making the birthd boy (80-year-old) feel super special. The birthday boy was so touched by Steve's incredible voice and his amazing impersonalization of Johnny Cash that he teared up a bit and sang along for most of the night. The band is not only very talented, but they were well prepared - arrived on time, brought everything they needed, set up on time and entertained us all oh so well. On top of all that Steve is a very funny guy so he made us all laugh and kept the party going for five hours. Everyone loved them and as the daughter-in-law who found the band on gigsalad I got extra brown points. We all would love to have the band back entertaining us for the next big celebration.

Thank you Nadia! You were wonderful to us, so generous, and you are truly blessed to have such lovely family members and friends! Such a receptive crowd, and yes, we saw Bob tear up a couple of times! Great party! Thank you.
Not only did he sound and look like Johnny Cash, but had a great stage presence at 6'5" and was a true performer. Knowing that a full hour of J.Cash was more than we needed, he mixed it up with Neil Diamond, Elvis, and some other greats. Susan Ritter came along as "June" and also sang a Bonnie Rait song! What was really nice is that he took the small details of the event into consideration and incorporated them into his act. Our client was from Texas, so he sang a couple songs about the state, she also works with Wrangler jeans....He wore his Wranglers to the show!
We hired him last minute as a surprise for a super small wrap party, and even though a quarter of the way through the set, most of the 25 ppl had to run off and finish wrapping gear, he stayed the full hour and entertained us. He was very accommodating and had great communication from the time I asked for a quote, to right before he performed. I would book them again :)

Thank you Breonna! I don't know how you kept it a surprize right up to show time, but you pulled it off! The look on Lorena's face was priceless!!! We had a great time too! Thank you for a wonderful review too! Hope to see you again soon.
Anyone wanting a successful party should hire Steve Waddington and his band! They are all so nice, professional and spot on with all of the hits! Thank you Steve and your entire band including the beautiful Susan, for making our Father's Day party complete!

Response from Steve Waddington "Dino, Diamond, & Cash" and more!:
Thank you Joanie! We had SO much fun! You, your family and friends were so generous and friendly! You REALLY know how to throw a party! And how many times can a band say they played "Purple Rain" at a home formerly owned by Prince himself? Too cool! Thanks again.
Our event was even more successful with "Dino, Diamond, & Cash" headlining for us. Our guests gave positive feedback and Steve was so easy to work with!

Steve performed his Dean Martin Tribute at the. 0ntario Elks Lodge. it was a great show. Everyone loved it. Not only did he sound like Dean he had the same mannerisms and related so well with the audience. Susan also performed and has a beautiful voice. We hope to have them back soon.
Dean Martin Impersonator
We just had an important birthday party celebration and booked Steve Waddington at "The Ranch" in Anaheim. Steve and his group brought the house down. He was very good, funny and versatile. He was excellent to work with from start to finish. A must for every occasion. We are already thinking about when we can use him again!
Impersonator
I saw Steve perform at Jax in Glendale. We were blown away by the show. He started with Dean Martin and Rat Pack songs, then rocked the house with some Neil Diamond and Johnny Cash and the other voices that he does. It was an awesome show, so now I'm here because I'm interested in hiring him for a private party. It was like a show straight out of Vegas!

What to Expect
Steve Waddington's show is exciting, entertaining and filled with variety.
During the course of a show, the audience will be delighted hearing their favorite songs, and watching this performer entertain. Steve doesn't sing AT his audience, he sings With them! He has a relaxed charm, a quick wit and makes everyone feel like they are part of an event. No matter what the venue, he creates a party atmosphere.
His backup band is made up from the very best, most versatile musicians in Southern California. Even his smallest combo has a very big sound, without being overly loud. Quality musicianship, and these guys understand that the audience having fun is job one!
About
"Dino, Diamond & Cash...and a whole lot more!"
"Dino"...
When it comes to portraying the essence of Dean Martin, Steve has it all...the mannerisms, the voice, the wry humor and charming playfulness. Close your eyes, and you'll almost swear it was Dino singing all his hits. Open your eyes, and you won't believe how much fun you'll have watching this entertainer create the illusion of one of our most beloved entertainment icons. All the big hits, like Everybody Loves Somebody, Volare (yes, Steve sings the Italian verses!), Amore, Kick in the Head, Mambo Italiano, Return to Me, and even lesser known gems like I Will, Bummin' Around, and Little Ol' Winedrinker Me are represemted! In fact, Deana Martin (Dean's daughter) recently came to one of Steve's shows and exclaimed "...we Love how you do Dad's songs with such obvious Love and Respect. You're not just an imitator, you are a true tribute!" Now, That's amore!!!
"Diamond"...
When Steve does "Neil Diamond", you can't help but sing along and get swept away by the overall sense of fun, the "Feel of Neil", from the sequined jacket to the acoustic guitar and the outstretched arm for dramatic effect! But it's the voice that completely captivates, he really sounds like Neil, and songs like "Solitary Man", "Cherry Cherry", "I Am, I Said", "Holly Holy", "America", and "Sweet Caroline"...on through to the sentimental favorites like "Love On The Rocks", "September Morn", and "Play Me", makes you feel like you are in-concert with the Real Neil in his prime! At a very recent show, Rose Diamond (Neil's 99-year-young mom) told Steve " You have a beautiful voice, and you sound So much like my son!" And Neil's horn section, at a recent gig said, "we can't get over how much you sound like Neil". Pretty amazing, Grace!
...and "Cash"...
His "Johnny Cash" tribute is simply the best there is! With his rich, deeply resonant voice, and his tall commanding presence, he re-creates the magic of "the Man in Black". At a recent show, relatives of Johnny's said to Steve "You sound more like Johnny Cash than J.R. did at times!" (Johnny's birth-name was simply J.R.) Steve did a gig with Kris Kristofferson, and Kris said "You sound so much like Johnny, it's scary!", and then he autographed Steve's guitar! You'll see why when you hear Steve sing "Ring of Fire", "Folsom Prison", "Walk the Line", "A Boy Named Sue", "Get Rhythm", "Tennessee Flat Top Box", "Hurt", "Jackson" and many more. Wink Martindale summed it up best when he said "You don't even have to Like country music to Love Johnny Cash...and we Love Steve singing Johnny Cash!" Yeah, he walks the line!
Plus "Johnny Rivers": Listen to Steve capture that unmistakable southern drawl and that Louisiana guitar feel. You will be dancing and singing and magically transported back to the Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip! It's audience participation time for the live album feel of "The Seventh Son", "Memphis" "Mountain of Love", "The Poor Side Of Town" and "Secret Agent Man"! Johnny A Go Go!
"Elvis": When Steve is "singin' some King", he simply sings and sounds like Elvis! He doesn't care to do "the jumpsuit thing" (been there, done that), he just chooses to include a few of Elvis' classics in a more pure, organic, heart-felt way. Steve met Elvis in '76 after winning an Elvis competition in S.F. making Steve one of the first "ETA"s at that time.
"The Kings of Rock & Roll" Steve sings Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins, Conway Twitty, Jerry Lee Lewis, Eddie Cochran, Chuck Berry, Fats Domino, The Everly Brothers, Ricky Nelson, 50's, 60's and more to round out the vintage rock set. He then adds Chris Isaak (who he shared the stage with many times in the 80's), Dwight Yoakam, Jace Everett, Merle Haggard, The Smithereens, The Romantics, The Ramones, Beatles, Stones and Kinks, and a little Lovin' Spoonful!
And you Must hear his hilarious parodies of Bob Dylan, Gordon Lightfoot, Donovan and more!
"From Rat Pack to Rock & Roll"
Steve created this show, "From Rat Pack to Rock & Roll", specifically for the restaurant/nightclubs, lounges, supper-clubs, private party and dinner/dance venues. He usually starts the show with the "dinner set"...his smooth Rat Pack style Dino, Sinatra, Nat "King" Cole, etc. Perfect for cocktails, dining and light dancing. Then he picks up his guitar and slides into some early rock/pop things, and turns up the heat with tributes to Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond, Johnny Rivers, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Carl Perkins and the rockabilly bunch from the Sun Studios...and much more. So much variety!
...Or Any Combination of Tribute Shows
Depending on the clients' wishes, Steve can fully adapt his show to include any, or all, of the segments for a particular event. Neil Diamond Show. Dino/Rat Pack show. Johnny Cash show.
Or combinations or select numbers from the entire repertoire...whatever works!
A veteran of clubs, casinos, film, television and events, Steve brings the total entertainment experience to audiences world wide.
Steve Waddington has been a member of the Screen Actor's Guild since 1990, having appeared in supporting roles on TV and film, most notably with Kurt Russell in the feature film Breakdown and on NBC TV with Kirk Douglas and Craig T. Nelson in Take Me Home Again, as well as co-starring with Sam Jones in the premier episode of Animal Planet's Hollywood Safari.
He even toured with the late, legendary Wolfman Jack as lead singer of the 50's/60s rockin' revival band "Cruis'n", where he was widely acclaimed as one of the original rockabilly revival warriors, pre-dating Robert Gordon, Brian Setzer, James Intveld, Chris Isaak and many revival tribute artists that followed.
Later he wrote, recorded, produced, performed, headlined and opened shows with his all-original concert act "Steve One and the Shades", who released their debut album "Once in a Lifetime" to rave critical reviews. He shared the stage with many other fine artists of this time, Huey Lewis & the News, The Greg Kihn Band, Chris Isaak, Todd Rundgren, John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band, and more.
As a solo performer, or as part of staged performance or review, Steve brings his years of professionalism and experience, as well as his amazing sense of humor and timing, to every production ensuring that audiences and cast members have fun and a memorable experience.

Influences & Inspiration
We posed this question to Steve, and he replied:
"Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Buddy Holly, Johnny Rivers, Dion DiMucci, Englebert, Tom Jones, Conway Twitty, Marty Robbins, the Beatles, the Stones, SURF, Eddie Cochran, Hank Marvin, James Burton, Dick Dale, Chris Isaak, Jimmy Wilsey, Dwight Yoakam, Ennio Morricone, new-wave 80's. Too many to list actually, but then again I grew up in an era of great diversity on AM radio. We would turn it on and within an hour hear Frank Sinatra, Elvis, the Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Cash, Tom Jones, Tennessee Ernie Ford, the Kinks, Merle Haggard ...it was a time that radio was truly Broadcasting."
