It Started Early!
At age 6, Steve was the step and fetch boy for his dad's construction company; which consisted of his dad and his step and fetch son. Steve was responsible for organizing and maintaining the tools, learned the importance of knowing the right place for the right tool by the right name.

Managed advertising for hundreds of clients.
Researched, created concepts, wrote and produced thousands of clients messages.

Steve worked in Branson before it was featured in 60 Minutes. He saw first hand the blessings and the curse.

Performing live on radio was a part of Steve's life for 35 years; hosting and co-hosting a radio show, sports broadcasts, interviews, hosting political debates, anchoring special news programs, co-hosting significant giveaways in front of a live audience and on the radio.
Steve was never a background host. People loved him or hated him, but he had an impact on everyone.
Along with his radio partner, Janet Ellis, he became the face of the company.

Biography
I grew up in Stone County Missouri.
Very blessed to live within walking distance to both sets of grandparents, three pairs of Aunt and Uncles, several cousins, two sisters, and a Mom and Dad.
I was the baby and the first boy. {I once missed a week of school for a hang nail}
I am still amazed that the hot girl gave me a second dance, let alone the last 30 years. I meant my daughter when she was three, and I was picking up her mom for a date.
She answers the door saying, "I'm eating potato chips, want some?"
I remember that just as clear as when her baby brother was born.
I always loved radio and wanted to make it a career. I did for 34 years.
The last 22 on The Steve and Janet show. We had fun; it was a great ride.
To support my radio habit, I worked in sales. I excelled, so they put me in management.
I was a great leader, sucked as a manager and have lots of stories to back up both.
I left radio to start my company, Speaking of Willoughby.
