Since 2004, Stick Horses in Pants have been entertaining audiences with family-friendly, improv comedy. This is an interactive experience for the audience as the player get their suggestions from the crowd, then create a scene on-the-spot. Stick Horses have been voted Best Live Comedy, Best Theater Troupe, and Best Actor and Actress.
Stick Horses in Pants Comedy Improv group was outstanding! Many of our guests laughed until they cried at some of the skits. The performers were friendly and professional, arriving well before the contracted time, and performing for (more than) the agreed-upon time. I highly recommend this group for events!
The Stick Horses in Pants were great to work with! Everyone really enjoyed their performance and I felt like it was the perfect length for our event. Lacey and Chris were great at communicating to make sure everything went off without a hitch. They were also very reasonably priced which helped us stay within our budget.
Our Cub Scout Pack hired Stick Horses in Pants to provide an improv comedy show during a farewell/retirement party for our long-time CubMaster and his wife. The group of 3 performers arrived on time and weathered the young, rowdy crowd of scouts with enthusiasm and tact. Parents and scouts enjoyed their "games" and improv challenges.

Stick Horses n pants cater their shows to the audience for which the are performing. Their ability to read the mood of the crowd and tailor the show to bring the audience to a state of laughter is wonderful. We booked SHIP for work Christmas parties when my husband was a manager in Pueblo. The employees LOVED it and requested them year after year. SHIP is professional and just, plain hilarious! Well worth the money! Sadly, my husband's new employer has a team who plans the Christmas parties and who have not yet taken his suggestion to book SHIP. Not nearly as fun and we miss SHIP terribly!

Stick Horses in Pants is a group of actors with a passion for improv comedy. We are dedicated to keeping you laughing and go to great lengths to ensure your satisfaction. We're easy to work with and don't need much (we're low maintenance here). Basically, you're going to have a memorable event if you hire us - something different and intriguing. We make up everything on the spot, using the suggestions from your group. Then, create "scenes" on stage with no scripts, prompts or help. You'll be amazed how your group bonds together when they're laughing and enjoying quality entertainment, rather than listening to a speaker.
CONTENT
We are a family-friendly group and want a diverse audience. Our humor and suggestion requests stay clean and enjoyable for all ages!
SHOW LENGTH
Our shows are available in a variety of time frames and we'll advise you on the best programming and agenda to make your event successful. However, we don't do shows less than 30 minutes. Our typical shows are 60 minutes in length.
TECH
We do not have any of our own equipment. We typically recommend sound for groups of 60 depending on the venue and room set up. For large groups, we suggest 3-4 mics set up on stands. Ideally, choir mics that pick up sound. We also will use wireless lapel mics if needed. Also, we'll occasionally use a piano if available.
SPACE
Ideally, we love to be on a raised stage without any podiums, speakers, etc. with a audience that throws us flowers and requests encores. However we understand venue differ and we can work with your needs. Even if we're on a flat floor, we can work with an area approximately 10x20 or larger.
If available, we'd like a small private space to warm up before our show time.
IMPROV PLAYERS
We schedule our actors according to availability and show length. We typically have 3-5 players per show.
PAYMENT
We require full payment onsite at the event. We also may require a deposit based on seasons and dates with multiple customer inquires.
AUDIENCE
We'll perform for anyone! Based on our 13+ years experience, we have a few suggestions:
*Our show will be best if the audience is fully engaged (not eating, not roaming around, etc)
*Our events tend to be better indoors
*We don't recommend booking us at the end of your program, especially if it's late at night when your participants have been in meetings, seminars, lectures, or drinking all day.
TRAVEL
We're based in Colorado Springs, CO but we're willing to travel anywhere based on players schedules and availability. Additional fees will be charged for any location more than 40 miles from Colorado Springs. Events in Hawaii are encouraged. Lodging, travel expenses, etc. are negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
NON-PROFITS
We do provide a discount to churches and non-profits. Please let us know when you're booking your event.
