IT'S ONLY ROCK AND ROLL - BUT YOU'LL LIKE IT!!
Canada's premier Rolling Stones Tribute is STICKY FINGERS - ROLLING STONES EXPERIENCE - featuring the charismatic Stuart Turnbull as "Mick" . The band has invested hundreds of studio hours creating a dynamic live show that authentically recreates the unique sound, energy and charisma of the world's greatest RnR band.
Enjoy all your favorite hits including: “Start Me Up” | “Sympathy for the Devil” | “Brown Sugar” | "Angry" | “Satisfaction (I Can’t Get No)” | “It’s only Rock n Roll” | “Under My Thumb” | "Gimme Shelter" | “Wild Horses” | “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” | “Paint it Black” | “She's So Cold” | "Angie" | “Jumping Jack Flash"...
We hired them for a special birthday party at our house and they knocked it out of the park. They were great to work with and our guests were very impressed. They are super talented musicians in their own right and they come alive when playing the Stones.
Excellent show, beyond my expectations.
After seeing a few videos of earlier performances online, I looked forward to seeing Sticky Fingers/Rolling Stones Experience when it came to Sechelt during its She's So Cold tour.
This band did not disappoint. Sticky Fingers drew a surprisingly large and happy crowd. Great performance, presentation and showmanship. Very faithful to the Stones' discography. Everyone had a fun night.
Hopefully, they will visit the Sunshine Coast again soon. When they do, I plan to be there with bells on.
Highly recommended!
Sechelt Legion (Branch 140) started communication with the band on December 12. Since we are on the Sunshine Coast, rather than coming up for a single gig the band wanted to work it in with a second location (they found a gig in Powell River -- another Ferry trip further north). They did the PR gig on February 16, the day BEFORE our gig and had a late night and early morning transiting from PR to Sechelt. I has some concerns about their ability of doing 2 nights in succession with not much rest between, but it turned out that my fears were unfounded with the first few bars of the first song.
The crowd seemed somewhat hesitant to get up and start dancing but after a few songs with Stuart (Mick) engaging the crowd the dance floor became more and more crowded. Musically, very, very similar to the Stones (in fact if you closed your eyes you would swear that it was not Sticky Fingers but the actual Stones).
Outside of the performance, Stuart and the boys were very friendly and personable both during the gig as well as long before and also after.
The branch will be moving into a new venue, but we are going to do everything in our power to get them back for a repeat performance.
Sticky Fingers (aka Posing til Closing) played in our backyard for a special event to a diverse group ranging in age 40 to 75 years old. Everyone commented on how great they were including one guest who played in his own band. They were very considerate and easy to work with in advance planning and arrived early for set up. From a technical standpoint the volume and clarity was perfect, in fact we got a text from a neighbour saying how much they enjoyed the music. Stuart is a very engaging singer and his band mates were also great! They made the evening very special and had everyone dancing almost from the beginning, lots of fun!
Response from Sticky Fingers - Rolling Stones Tribute:
Hi Sylvia and Larry, we thoroughly enjoyed helping you celebrate! Your backyard is truly an oasis. Thanks for being so easy to work with. We're delighted that you and your guests enjoyed our music - and even your neighbours!! You may be interested to know that several of your special requests have now become part of our regular repertoire. best wishes, Stuart, Brian, Al & Matt

Was my first experience with this band and I’m hooked! I can’t wait until the next. The dance floor was lively all night. The people around me all expressed how amazing they are. Here’s a little bit about the band:
The core members of STICKY FINGERS have gigged as one of the Lower Mainland's top cover bands "Posing Til Closing" since 2008. In early 2023 they launched "STICKY FINGERS - Rolling Stones Tribute" to sell-out shows in Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island.
The band recognizes that Stones fans demand more than just great music - they expect the compete experience of this iconic band. Fronted by charismatic Londoner Stuart Turnbull as Mick, STICKY FINGERS recreates everything that makes a Rolling Stones live show so unique... delivering "The Music, The Energy, and The Charisma" of the greatest Rock & Roll band of all time.
Stuart Turnbull is “Mick”:
Born and raised in London England, Stuart is the quintessential front-man, delivering Mick Jagger’s personality, energy and charisma to every performance. Also doubling on Congas to bring that extra Stones vibe. Career highlights include playing with the Juno award-winning Powder Blues Band at the 2002 PNE.
Brian Meadows is “Keith”:
Master guitarist Brian expertly recreates the Stone’s rich sound and Keith Richards’ iconic licks. Brian is a former winner of the Battle of the Corporate Bands and also stars as “Jimmy Page” with popular Led Zeppelin Tribute band: “The Ocean”.
Mike Russell is "Chuck Lavel" and "Bobby Keys"
A seasoned touring pro, Mike is best known for his long time association as keyboardist for Nick Gilder and Sweeney Todd (""Roxy Roller"", ""Hot Child in the City"", etc). He also doubles on Saxophone.
Allan Nakatsu is “Bill”:
Working with Brian and Stuart for over 15 years, Al delivers Bill Wyman’s style and rock-solid foundation, anchoring the bands authentic Rolling Stones sound.
Matt Pavan is “Charlie”:
A former touring pro, and now one of BC’s most sought-after drummers, Matt is as entertaining to watch as he is technically gifted. The late Charlie Watts would be proud!

For most smaller gigs (250 attendees or less) we are self-sufficient. Our state-of-the-art PA system provides exceptionally clear sound reinforcement.
For larger gigs, and those with unique sound or visual requirements we can provide your operations team a comprehensive stage plot which details our requirements. We've played gigs from 50 to 2,000+, indoors and outdoors (including in a torrential downpour!), so we have the experience to navigate through any unexpected wrinkles that may arise.
Here's an example of a recent RS Tribute set list.
(Please note, our full repertoire includes over 100 songs - as we play as a Rolling Stones Tribute, a Santana Tribute and also as a Classic Rock Party Band - so we're always adding new songs!
