Still Pickin'

We hired Still Pickin’ for a summer celebration at our university. They were so easy to work with and sounded phenomenal! They really drew people in and set the tone for the whole event. I highly recommend them for any type of event and am personally looking forward to having them back to campus again!

We couldn’t be happier with our decision to book Still Pickin’ for our recent celebration. They were professional, entertaining, accommodating, and everyone loved their collection of original and cover songs.

I hired Still Pickin’ for my parents surprise 50th wedding anniversary. I could not have been more pleased. The band was amazing. Our guests and my parents had a wonderful time made possible by this band. They were easy to work with, communicated throughout the weeks in advance, showed up on time, played the songs we requested and were as professional as can be. We can’t wait to have them again!

Jim and team were amenable to our very specific party plan/agenda from the start. They knew that we would be giving the start/stop signal more than they were used to. They knew we had very specific needs/wants. At first Jim, was open to playing MC for our party.......making announcements and getting the groups attention for certain key moments of the night. However, as my vision of the party morphed, we had another person play MC and give direction to the band directly. So they really changed to taking more of a back seat but yet, were a very important part of the party. They fit right in to our country/Texas/Rodeo theme and the guests loved them.

We originally agreed to a 3 hour event but as the scope of the party changed and we needed them for more time, they were happy to work with us on this.

Would love to have them again.........

this group arrives on time, plays like the dickins and keeps everybody dancing and listening. they were amazing.

We had a small backyard birthday party for my wife and we had a blast with Still Pickin'! Everything was easy - they set up quickly, incorporated songs we requested beforehand, and broke down without a hitch. This is the first time that I've used GigSalad and I couldn't be happier.
Not only is the band musically talented - and believe me, they are talented! - but they were engaging and funny! All of our guests were blown away but the band. They couldn't believe that we had such a professional group of performers in our backyard. Most of our friends bought a CD before leaving. It was amazing.
I'm already trying to think of how we can get them back for an encore performance!

My wife and I have been hosting a series of socially-safe driveway concerts for friends, neighbors and family. Still Pickin' performed our final one of the season and they were a big hit. Jim, Dennis and Pat offered an range of music from accessible bluegrass to classic country, with a few fun surprises added to the mix. Their musicianship, vocals and banter were enjoyed by the audience which included people in their twenties into their seventies. All the feedback has been very positive. It was fun!

I hired the trio to play for our annual Block Party since we couldn’t do the usual potluck buffet because of covid. They were so obliging, agreeing, if necessary, to a rain date and arriving punctually with all their gear. Their performance was delightful and my friends and neighbors were thrilled - they want music at all future Block Parties. I recommend Stll Pickin’ 150% - they deserve six stars.

Still Pickin' is an exceptionally gifted and versatile trio of musicians. Everyone at the party told my husband and me how much they enjoyed listening to them and how special they made the event. We're so happy we chose them for our pig roast/housewarming!

Still Pick'in were Awesome! I hired them for a Pig Roast and they were a perfect addition. All my guests said it was their favorite party because of the awesome music.

The music was great and they were a pleasure!! I can't wait to book these guys again!
