Stilt-Dancer

In fantastical costumes, stilt-dancer Janet will really dance and engage adults and children, getting people to dance or happily take part in a game of not telling anyone that she's there! She'll sit on shoulders, have children run through her legs, rub bald heads with joy, blow bubbles, use small puppets to calm and delight young ones. She'll preen, lay chocolate eggs, jump rope, swirl her 6' streamer arms, or pulse an umbrella like a heart. She'll remember you from earlier in the event and repeat that joke the two of you are in on. She'll ask you to help her find her enormous sheep that she fell asleep counting or sing a song.
ARRIVAL is 1.5 hours ahead. Sets are 30-45 minutes, with 15 minute breaks. Check TECH needs.

Music entertainment - background or concert, private and corporate events that is energetic, on-time, responsive, and classy. We are well-dressed, can serenade and interact or not!

BASIC DUO: Vocals & piano/keyboard. Add violin, guitar, clarinet, and/or accordion.
Big VARIETY available-- French, American songbook, classical, Broadway, swing, some pop, ethnic, and social couples dances (waltz, tango, polka, bossa nova). Pick someone else for hip hop, country, rap, rock.
All can be booked solo, too.

Interactive 3-person musical for 2-13 years and adults! 45-50 minute show, with ideally 10-15 minutes after for questions and photos. Ideally 45 minute set-up time. Colorful costumes, humorous and educational music and story about the relationship of between pollinators--especially bees--and our food. Calliope Hummingbird (amazing mask) makes a surprise appearance! Hand-outs of puzzles, amazing facts, and actions to help bees. Suggested activities on website for whole family! A professional dancer, actor, mime, singer, and Juicy Joints fitness instructor, Janet combines these skills for engaging both as a Stiltdancer and Ellabella Bee. She makes all her costumes with the help of inventor Kim David Hall who has especially aided in the various feet, props, and stilts themselves. Stilting Needs:
1) Small non-public/less public space for ladder to mount stilts (Could be office, tent, garage, closet, behind a curtain) Must be 8.5 feet high minimum, doorways can be lower, no elevators.
2) Place to dress- can be the same place, but I will need to undress and have place for my costume/regular clothes. With large tails, enormous skirts, I am not able to "dress in advance."
3) Restroom somewhere close
4) Inform me if there be music--live or recorded. If not, may I bring?
5) Is there a special place for me to park?
6) Inform your people not to put things on or move my ladder!
7) Who is my contact there and cell number?
8) Let me know what costume you want or if it is my choice. Usually, I can steer you well if you let me know event-type, ages, themes, type corporation, etc.
9) Most surfaces are not a problem. Marly floors, wet plastic dance floors, gopher-holed or new grass are problems. Established grass, marble, wet cement, asphalt, hills, wood, some stairs are fine.
10) Let me know if I will be welcome to food. I usually bring a jug of water.
11) I have very good liability insurance with Specialty Insurance. Let me know if you need an "Additional Insured" certificate.
