The Mastermind Behind the Influence
6PM Drew is the owner and founding members of Progression Music Group (PMG). A car ride to Eastern Illinois University for the Sigma's Barn Party is Drew’s earliest recollection of the light bulb that started it all.
“It was originally 5PM.” Drew recalls. “That was like in 2014 or somethin.” Aside from being an artist and founding member of PMG, Drew also heads much of the music management and production within the company. Having always been around music and entrepreneurship, he learned early on that his main role would be that of the connection between artists and industry. His sonic ability helps him pair the appropriate artists together to get the perfect sound. Seeing the work and likes of DJ Khaled, Future, Cash Money and others has helped cultivate his ideas and made tangible a very important role in making good music. As a producer and recording artist himself, 6PM Drew is versatile in a variety of genres. With both his mom and dad being Jamaican, Drew's Reggae music comes naturally. He's also very well rounded in Hip Hop, R&B, and Rock.
After moving to Las Vegas, Drew realized there was no real hip-hop market. With PMG’s talent, he has goals on penetrating the market to not only circulate 6PM but to help develop an urban sound where there isn’t one. When asked what he is looking forward to in 2020, Drew responds “A big 2020. A lot of the moving parts are coming together and being put into place.” Drew understands that all it takes is for one piece of the puzzle to get in the door or in the right hands. Eventually, people will want to see the full picture; and 6PM Drew will be there with all the right pieces. #6PM
