Strawberry Moon writes and performs music that provokes positive energy... a throwback to a 60's 70's vibe. All of us in the band embrace these decades as the foundation for truly powerful music. We have elements of psychedelic jams, groove driven back beats, melody, guitar riffs, improvisation and story motivated songwriting. We have fun experimenting with sound and let what happens musically, happen. Most of our fans/friends come together to enjoy live music in a free-spirited environment. Strawberry Moon draws from a wide pool of influences. Though John DeMaria graduated from the Berklee School of Music with a degree in songwriting and we have more than enough original material to do several all original sets, the band also performs a wide variety of covers from bands such as; The Allman Brothers, The Meters, The Beatles, The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Tom Petty, and many other crowd pleasers.
