Strikes

The rocky road that shaped his life and much of what he experienced throughout his childhood has molded him into the artist and leader that he is today. Born and raised by a single mother in Southern California, STRIKES was brought up in San Diego's tough Velencia Park neighborhood. Not having the influence of a father in the home, a young STRIKES was seduced by the allure of the street life at an early age and turned to a life of crime at 13 years old.
Over the years he was able to call many places "home," San Diego, Los Angeles, Arizona, Atlanta, and Las Vegas, to name a few. Moving around in his early teens gave him the versatile background and cultural awareness that he now carries with him today.
Along the way, like many in the inner cities, he took to rapping as a way of expressing the experiences of his youth. The street life he once idolized and pursued began to motivate his Reality Rap-based music. Althoe the next several years included many struggles, STRIKES would eventualy team up with childhood friend Nick Cannon in 2003, being featured on the Can-I-Ball mixtape Vol.1 Sponsored By DUB Magazine appearing as "STRIKEZ", a name given to him by long time friend Nick Cannon becuase time STRIKES spent in prison. Early in his career, STRIKES colloborated with other west coast artists such as Game, Nick Cannon, and Roscoe. In 2008 STRIKES also appeared with Bizzy Bone and Layzie Bone of Bone Thugs N Harmoney on "This Is A Warning" Bone Bros Vol.3
STRIKES and Nick Cannon again teamed up in 2013 to form a rap group that would be called "Psych Ward Druggies" The 9 members of the crew are a talented collection of artist and producers.
Psych Ward Druggies is rounded out by STRIKES (rapper), Hero (raper-guitaris), Ryan Bowers (rapper-skateboarder), Golden Boy (rapper), Kehlani (singer) Don Druggie (drummer-rapper) and P Blanco Deville (DJ-producer), and Sir Ryan Anthony (rapper). Psych Ward Druggies definitely gets down. With the powerful Religious Prescriotion mixtape and forthcoming film and comci books in the works, the crew strives to make its mark with hardcore music that will help people.
Strikes is on a mission of his own. With the completion of his solo effort "Fact Not Fiction" He is ready to carve out his own identity. Still Representing for Team PWD, STRIKES has a story of his own to tell the world.
