Stuart Nager is an interactive, improvisational, Storyteller. He specializes in improvised Family Theater, classic storytelling, and The Fools of Chelm, a town where everyone thinks they are the wisest.
As a Workshop Coach, Stuart leads sessions in creativity, improvisation, creative writing, presentation skills, team building, and a wide variety of theater arts programs. Stuart has led workshops across the US and London.
Virtually, Stuart leads sessions in creative writing, journaling, Improv basics, and educational seminars. Recent Faculty Professional Development : (1) Gaining and Maintaining Student Engagement; (2) STEM to STEAM: Holistic Active Learning Methodology.
Stuart’s storytelling and theater games sparked college students to break out of comfort zones and improvise. They results were transformative.

A Professional Storyteller, my programs run from improvised/self-written tales to classic world stories. My performances are interactive, and improvisation shows. I have appeared at Rennaisance Faires, arts festivals, libraries, classrooms, and theaters. My commitment is to create an inclusive, safe, non-judgmental space.
I've collaborated on programs with musicians and other professional storytellers on the needs of the booking.
As a workshop coach, my talents provide programs in theater arts, improvisation, storytelling, presentation skills, and I facilitate Professional Development programs for educators and corporate needs.
Stuart Nager is 100% creative.
He holds an MA in Educational Theater and an MA in Oral Traditions & Writing.
In 1994, Stuart created, managed, and performed with The Brothers Grinn, an improvisational storytelling theater troupe. He is proud of sharing the gift of laughter with over 1,100 improvised shows in the company's twelve years of existence. He created The Brothers Grinn educational programming for schools and community centers, including workshops across the United States.
Currently, Stuart is an Adjunct Professor at Mercy College (Communications, Critical Inquiry, and Movies Media) and a published writer. He runs virtual writer's critique groups.
I own a wireless head mic if the location does not have a mobile sound system.
Lights in the audience should be up for interaction.
I've been mentored by Gary Austin (The Groundlings), Michael Gellman (Second City), Mick Napier (Annoyance Theater), and Jeff Wirth (Interactive Theater). My training with them helped hone my improvisational skills.
