The Sunny Side Jazz Band was absolutely fantastic. They played our ceremony and reception excellently. We had a lot of jazz fans in attendance and they were blown away by the performance and skill of the musicians. The vocalist had a fun, upbeat vibe and got everybody dancing! They learned a new song for our first dance (they offer to learn three), and even sent us a recording of their rehearsal for us to practice to.

I don't think my guests ever stopped dancing. Rob was very easy to work with and answered all my questions. The band worked very well with the venue and even learned a song for our first dance. Every member of the band was friendly and upbeat. I can't thank Sunny Side enough for creating such a wonderful experience for my husband and I and all our guests. I just hope they had as good of a time as we did.

The music provided by Sunny Side elevated our casual business soirée to another level. The jazz music provided a fabulous New Orleans vibe for those who were visiting from out of town. This wasn't the first time we had used Sunny Side for these type of events because not only are they talented musicians, but they are professional and courteous to work with.

We absolutely LOVE Sunny Side and definitely made the best decision with having this band play at our wedding reception! Rob especially was so very helpful every step of the way - we cannot thank him enough for his professionalism and assistance! He coordinated the music for both our second line band (including the permitting) as well as our reception band, and both groups of musicians truly were perfect for what we had envisioned for our wedding day! We just loved the traditional jazz music vibe that Sunny Side provided for our 200+ guest wedding at Gallier Hall! Sunny Side was able to prepare a special request for our first dance which was a Louis Armstrong song that the band was able to add to its already incredible repertoire of jazz music. We look forward to continue hearing Sunny Side play around town and are so very thankful to have found this band of talented vocalists and musicians!

We hired Sunny Side Jazz Band for our Universities commencement ceremony in New Orleans. They were a HIT! They were great to work with prior to the event and during the event. They did a second line for our graduates and really made for a memoriable experience. Would definitely recommend using Sunny Side for your event experience.

I recently celebrated my 6oth birthday with a Second Line in the Quarter on Friday night and a party at the Columns Hotel on Saturday night. Sunny Side CRUSHED IT both nights! The Second Line was loud and festive, with great song choices for the walk and a NOLA-jazz birthday serenade at the end. Many of the guests were from out of town and had never seen a Second Line ... everyone is still talking about it! And the performance at the birthday party was fantastic! Sunny Side set the mood early and eventually had three generations of friends and relatives out dancing to great traditional New Orleans music ... and even killed it on a couple of special requests, e.g., Sinatra! The communication and logistics were fantastic as well! We cannot recommend Sunny Side highly enough! Ten out of ten!!

We had a Jazz Brunch themed wedding and as soon as I found Sunny Side I knew we wanted them!! They were upbeat and so much fun. We had so many compliments from our guests on the music. Rob was also quick to respond and work with us. They also played for our second line. Highly recommend!

Regarding communication, emails were contacted within 24-48 hours. Having quick communication and turnaround helped with getting everything in order for our event.

Loved Sunny Side band for our wedding reception at the Elms, Rob was so great and easy to work with. So accommodating to our song requests and had such a great energy. We loved ending the night with the second line just made the evening even more memorable. We got so many compliments on the band they really nailed the fun authentic nola jazz band vibe we were looking for for our wedding :)

We had a 3-day corporate event in NOLA and wanted to have our signature touch by adding a band to our welcome reception for the guests. So glad we found Sunny Side!

Not only was Rob great to work with, Darold has the most smoothing voice you ever did hear. The band was in tune with one another and you can see the passion in their eyes and the sound that they play. The trombone player even got our buttoned-up CEO to dance with him because he was feeling the music. I've never seen him jive like that before.

And the thing that sealed the deal for us was the second line. The band returned the next day to escort our guests from the hotel to the restaurant. I didn't tell our guests, or even anyone from my company, about it. Made it a surprise. And it sure was a surprise! They loved it and ate it all up!!! As soon as we opened the doors to present them with the band, the group went absolutely crazy!!! Everyone took out their phones, danced and had such a good time. Feedback from the guests was that it was their favorite part of the three days. This says A LOT about Sunny Side and what kind of experience they can give.

I'm so very well pleased with everyone and will no doubt hire them again next time we're in town. :)

Rob and the whole Sunny Side Jazz Band were such a great addition to our Friday night dinner party at the WWII Museum in New Orleans! From the start of our communication about the event through their incredible and fun performance, our members were absolutely blown away by this group.

We had a difficult time finding just the right style and combination of music for our small wedding and reception at Mosquito Supper Club - but Sunny Side saved us and showed us all a good time! Rob worked with us to understand the event setting and our preferences and then he coordinated with the other musicians in the band. We enjoyed a string trio during the ceremony and their six member band during dinner and the outdoor reception. They were easy going, reliable, and truly talented. Their style and song catalogue was perfect - classic, but not stuffy; fun, but not cheesy. Everyone enjoyed the music, most of us danced, and we all had a really great time. Looking back now, their music played a big role in our enjoyment of our wedding celebration and it will certainly be a fond part of our memories for all the years to come! We hired this band for a small wedding ceremony and dinner. Everything was perfect. They are very professional, prompt, and accommodating. I requested two songs, which they played beautifully. They even provided music during the short break. I highly recommend them!
