Swedge Was Formed In May, 2010 When Bob Glassman, Joey Glassman and several other musicians met to go over some new jazz tunes for the first time and collaborate. Each player was a seasoned musician with a number of years of experience in various venues, with a love of jazz related music. From that meeting on, Swedge has been rehearsing, writing, recording, and performing in and about northern Colorado. Swedge also performs and records with Louis Colaiannia & Company featuring Louis' original material, standards, and Swedge's own original material.
Meet Our Members
Bob Glassman - Drums/Percussion, Band Leader, Business Manager, Performer, Composer
In his first year of middle school (1971) Bob first sat down behind a drum kit. It was love at first sight! His buddy turned on a recording of the theme song from "Hawaii Five-O" . From that very moment Bob was hooked. Through the years Bob studied music in both Middle School and High School performing in bands, orchestras, high school jazz band and Marching Band. This experience set the stage for a life long love of playing drums.
To date, Bob's distinct groove can be heard on numerous recordings, in a number of local churches and in various venues throughout Northern Colorado. His 40 year relationship with music and strong aptitude for Jazz, Funk, Fusion, Rock, Blues and Pop fits in quite nicely with the overall scheme of what "Swedge" is all about. Bob has also collaborated with many up and coming local artists in the creation of original material as well. Most notable to date is classical / new age composer Louis Colaiannia and Swedge's first complete album "Beginnings".
Joey Glassman - Vibraphone/Percussions/Keyboards - Musical Director, Performer/soloist, Composer, Arranger
With an extremely successful musical following developed during his grade school years, strong recommendations from his high school instructors and professional musicians, The Lamont School of Music / University of Denver offered Joey admission into the performance music program. Joey's strong enthusiasm for music, gifted performance skills and writing ability goes a long way to explain his great success and following at a very young age. Joey provides the musical backbone, theory expertise and spirit to drive Swedge in striving for performance excellence. Joey's leadership skills and tenacious desire to achieve perfection sets the standard by which Swedge conducts business.
Brandy Herbert - Electric/Acoustic Guitar, Electric Bass , Arranger, Soloist
Swedge Is both honored and delighted to have Brandy Herbert as a contributing member of our music family. Brandy's work and background reads like the "who's who" in the music industry. Brandy's intense love of music and God given talent has been instrumental in driving Swedge to new heights. Her energy level and enthusiasm are extremely contagious and just plain fun. Wilson Luallen - Standup / Electric Bass Guitar

Wilson is currently studying bass performance at the Lamont School of Music of the University of Denver, with Kenny Walker for jazz bass and Susan Cahill of the Colorado Symphony for classical. At Lamont he is currently playing in the Steel Drum Band and three jazz combos.
Wilson has a strong passion for Jazz and is just a terrific person to have around. His positive energy, upbeat attitude and constant inspiration as a player is a great boost to all members of Swedge. Stay tuned for Wilson's presence on Swedge's newest album to be released.
