To the Sweet Something trio of piano, upright bass and chanteuse, we added the optional drummer to flesh out the sound and encourage dancing and were thrilled with the results. They are not only splendid musicians, but gracious and charming people, and all of the 60+ celebrants at our party (most in their sixties and seventies, but some in their early teens and even younger) were blown away. Sweet Something is really something.

Ari is an absolute star backed by top-notch musicians. They played my ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. Everyone absolutely RAVED about how great the band was. Bonus that young and old thoroughly enjoyed the music--our 2 year old niece and nephew held down the dance floor all night and our 80 year-old guests enjoyed some dances to music they loved. The band also learned a couple special songs for us and completely knocked it out of the park. Ari was responsive, professional, and great to work with leading up to the wedding as well.

We engaged Sweet Something for a Boxing Day Party on Dec. 26, and she was the hit of the party! Her voice is as smooth as velvet, and the range of her talent is vast- from holiday classics at this celebration to Bossa nova and jazz, she was fantastic, and her pianist Alfred was as well. My highest recommendations for any engagement!

Sweet Something served up sophistication and delight at my wife’s birthday celebration. It was just the right groove for the sparkling spring evening. We had so many wonderful comments from our guests about the music--especially Ariana’s voice. Our friends also said they enjoyed meeting and talking to the band. They even rolled with the shifting weather conditions and kept the vibe going in a cozy dining room while the patio and guests were temporarily doused. Thank you so much!

We loved working with Sweet Something for our event -- it was an inaugural subscriber event and every guest raved about their music! We had to postpone our original date and the band was excellent to work with as we navigated that change. As people, they are kind, professional, cheerful, funny and fun. As a band they are incredibly talented and provided the perfect atmosphere for our Valentine's date night! We look forward to working with them again at future events! Thank you!!

Ariana and the band were amazing. They were the perfect sound for our fancy dinner at the Top of the Hay restaurant and I couldn't be happier with their performance. Ariana is very responsive to e-mails. They were prompt, professional, and fun. I would recommend this group to anyone wanting to be sure that their event will be successful.

Sweet Something was wonderful! They were a ton of fun and their music really elevated the evening. We threw a Roaring 20s party for my fiance's 30th and their smooth jazz was just perfect. Guests raved about the music and I know at least one asked for their card! Would certainly hire again!!
Wow. It’s hard to put into words how amazing this collection of artists are. Our intimate event started with unexpectedly awesome weather that had lost guests outdoors while Sweet Something got going but we could hear and see them from outside. When we gravitated indoors though, their passion and energy took over the night. I couldn’t have been more pleased with them and we will be making up a spare room for them to come play again and again.

Thank you so much, Matthew! It was our pleasure to be a part of such a magical evening. We appreciate your kindness, and can't wait to perform for you again!
Sweet Something put on a great performance for the National Park Service: George Washington Memorial Parkway's 4th annual Juneteenth Celebration this year. Despite COVID-19 almost canceling the event, Ariana and her bandmates were very flexible and professional in facilitating a pre-recorded virtual event that premiered on the George Washington Memorial Parkway's Facebook page. Sweet Something performed very moving renditions of classic American poetry that really connected with our virtual audience. We highly recommend them for live and virtual events.

Ariana and the Sweet Something Jazz band were a joy to work with. I booked them for a virtual 2-hour event for my university. They performed for our virtual Jazz in the Garden event and I appreciated how easy going they were. It was a great event that our students really enjoyed sharing with their families. Ariana went above and beyond to communicate with me and make sure that the sound quality was perfect.

I hired Sweet Something to play my wedding this past Summer. They were amazing to work with - even learned a song that me and my sweetheart love ("Dream A Little Dream of Me")! All band members were on time and were friendly and professional. Their stage presence is flawless and captivating. I'm still getting compliments on how amazing they were. Hire Sweet Something for your wedding or public event - you won't regret it!
