We love to remotely host virtual, hybrid, & in person events specifically designed to comfortably connect groups through unique fun. To accomplish this goal, we enthusiastically lead games, trivia, social bingo, game shows, creative fun, & themed events that are designed to be entertaining and comfortable social experiences for both introverts and extroverts. Since we know it's impossible to predict every event variable, we purposefully created a format that's as flexible as possible.
Since 2020, we've enjoyed hosting for over 1,700 groups from companies all over the world. It would be an honor to impress/connect your incredible people! **A % of our proceeds go to select charities.

OVERVIEW:
Our true goal is to effectively connect groups through unique events that are designed to be entertaining and comfortable. A friendly and experienced host will lead your group through multiple rounds of fun experienced with the whole group (in the main Zoom room for 65% of the time) and in small groups (in breakout rooms for the other 35%).
To keep things new and engaging, each round sees the host lead a new game/challenge that players will enjoy with a new group of teammates. We do it all to make your life easier, make you look incredible, entertain your group through entertainment, and allow you to join in the fun!
DETAILED:
Your gracious host gladly welcomes everyone, provides an event overview, and gives simple instructions. Once players grab a pen and paper, we’re ready to go. We believe that simple fun is by far the best. For this reason, we don’t require people to go to a website, download an app, or do anything beyond chatting, writing answers, having fun, and laughing!
Before the uber friendly host moves into the first round of fun, they send players to small groups in breakout rooms where they’ll be assigned a couple of productive ice breakers. Examples include, “Come up with a team name → Exotic Travel Destination + Animal You’re Afraid Of” or “Determine your team rep → Whoever has the most pets”. These prompts give teams a chance to comfortably meet each other while simultaneously moving the game play forward. The host may even give away a few bonus points to the teams with the funniest or most creative ice breaker answers!
Once done, players are given instructions for the first round of fun and told how much time they’ll have to enjoy working together in breakout rooms. After the time has elapsed, everyone is brought back to the main room where the host will engage with various teams to hear what they came up with/wrote down. Following this hilarious banter, the host tells everyone how many points their team received based on their performance. They are then given another challenge for the same game and sent back to play again. Each round of fun is traditionally played for 15-20 minutes. At the end of the round, players note how many points their team received throughout the round. This number will be used to determine individual scores at the end of the soiree.
To keep the entertainment fresh and ensure attendees get a chance to meet multiple people, we enthusiastically introduce a new type of game for the next round and switch up team combinations. For every other round of fun we lead, a similar pattern is enjoyed where players are given ice breaking prompts, enjoy multiple challenges with their new team, and find out how well they did/laugh in the main room. Depending on the length of your event, we can enjoy anywhere between 1-4 rounds of fun/team combinations. No matter the duration of your soiree, our host will use themed backgrounds and play upbeat music throughout. We genuinely want your group to be fully immersed in a joyous experience from start to finish!

Our fascination with social entertainment began growing up in small towns with no fun nearby. It grew quickly through college and 14 years of managing movie theaters & amusement parks.
As our work experience progressed to lead bigger businesses and live in larger cities, our passion increased with it. However, the more people we entertained and lived near, the less real connections we experienced. This led us to wonder if the power of entertainment could be used to effectively connect groups through events that are specifically designed to be virtual, comfortable, fun, AND social. Our enthusiastic answer is Switchboard Games!
We love what we do, the leaders we assist, and the people we virtually connect along the way!
We firmly believe that simple fun is the best! To keep it easy and engaging, all that’s needed is:
- Zoom login info. We can provide this intel OR we can host the event on your Zoom link.
- Pen and paper.
- Laptop (preferred) or cell phone.
- Turning on one’s camera is NOT mandatory.
That's it! No software, platforms, websites, items shipped through the mail, etc. This simplicity allows everyone to focus on the fun and connections.
Growing up in numerous one-stoplight towns, Ryan (Founder) found a passion/need to consistently create new games, projects, and challenges that would entertain and connect his friends and family. This beloved hobby became a rewarding career that started with multiple degrees and spanned 18 years in upper level management at movie theaters and amusement parks.
While he enthusiastically witnessed millions of people having a blast, he noticed they rarely had a true opportunity to connect with their group or meet new folks. He began SbG in 2016 with the goal of hosting unique events designed to comfortably and effectively connect people through fun. Through the years, he’s been thrilled to work with thousands of incredible groups. From small family gatherings to celebrate momentous occasions to team building events for many of the biggest companies in the world, social entertainment has been at the heart of them all!
Laptop (preferred) or a smart phone.
If players haven't used Zoom before, they can quickly download the free Zoom app or download their free software in advance (takes roughly 1-2 minutes).
Once logged in, our friendly host will gladly explain everything they need to know about the technology they'll be using and the fun they'll be having!
