Overview
System 9 is a seven-piece band (though we can scale the group down as needed). We play a wide variety of music including classic rock, r&b, jazz, swing, and standards. We're based in the San Francisco Bay Area and have played just about every kind of event you can image—nightclubs, weddings, corporate events, city festivals, street fairs, bay cruises, and private parties. If you want people up on their feet shakin' it, we can make that happen. If you'd prefer that we lay back and add to the atmosphere, we've got that covered as well.

This is the 2nd time we've had the System9 band perform at our Annual Bocce Club Holiday Party. They made the house rock! A friend commented, "Where else could you hear Miles Davis and Tom Petty on the same evening? This band is awesome!"

Systems 9 was everything and just wonderful! Great group of guys, in fact we booked them on the spot, for our next years Holiday Party. People were up and dancing the whole time they were playing. These guys really delivered and everyone attending were complimenting how great they played and one of the best bands they had the privilege of seeing. I agree.

We hired the band for our company holiday party. They were quick to respond and answered all of our questions. They made the process very easy. Our song requests were made last minute and they were able to accommodate us.
At the event they went with the flow for any last minute changes. Their performance was amazing. Everyone at the party had a great time. They are kind people and easy to work with. Will definitely hire them for our next event.

Bands are hired for all types of celebrations, mostly weddings, birthday parties or the like. I found System 9 through Gig Salad when I was looking for a band to play 60s music for my dad's celebration of life, which is a bit different than the typical venue they normally perform at. This band was incredible....from the booking and administrative aspect to their professionalism and honoring my special request (they learned a song that had special meaning for my deceased father and I), I felt so lucky to have such a great group of talented humans with us to send my dad off in style.
Had the celebration been for a different reason, we would have had the dance floor packed. For my dad's celebration, however, they happily took my feedback and provided the perfect background of music that we all loved so much. A huge THANK YOU to all the guys. Amazing.

The band was sensational! Everyone had a wonderful time dancing and listening. The guys were extremely professional, fun, and easy to work with. We can't wait to have another event with them.

Wonderful, polished, versatile, talented and musical band! Friendly, easy going, accommodating; played Great music and got a group from ages 7-85 up dancing and smiling. Many guests asked for their contact information. Highly recommend!
