Tara Kia plays for wedding ceremonies and private events. As a classically-trained pianist and a composer, she makes the most memorable and heartfelt version of any song. She will also help you determine what equipment you need and curate the right songlist for your gathering.

Our ceremony music was perfect! My husband and I got married in August 2024 and we booked Tara to be our pianist for our ceremony and part of the reception. She was such an easy vendor to work with and made the most beautiful arrangements. We had so much fun picking out what song I'd walk down the aisle to and the communication was always on point. I was going back and forth about having live piano for my ceremony, and I am so happy we did. If you have any doubt, seriously do not hesitate any longer to book her. For weddings, I can provide live piano for:
- Rehearsal dinner
- Wedding ceremony
- Cocktail hour
- Reception (dinner)
For other events, I charge hourly for music and I also provide sound equipment.
If you have a larger budget, I have a trio for a more full, jazzy vibe.
For weddings and larger events, I also have an experienced DJ partner that I regularly work with if you’re looking to book live piano followed by a DJ.
Tara 'Kia' Ghassemikia is a full-time professional pianist, composer, singer-songwriter, and performer. She's classically trained and personally arranges all the covers that clients request, so that each piece is elegant, heartfelt, and high-quality.
She's very dynamic and loves playing a variety of genres, especially: soul, jazz, classic rock, classical, and pop. She loves connecting with her clients to learn their music style and then curating the perfect arrangement of music.
Tara also has +15 years of emcee experience. If your DJ has communicated that they won't emcee your wedding, you can book her for both live piano and emcee services.
I am happy to bring my piano/equipment, unless there is a high-quality piano on-site.
