I'm a broadcast meteorologist who also chases storms! I've spent 25 years covering storm and tornado outbreaks on television. Chasing storms is a different kind of rush that a radar screen and T.V. can't touch!
I've gone on some exciting chases over the last few years and I always bring back something worth discussing. Because I have also spent the last twenty years teaching atmospheric science and severe weather courses at Missouri State University, I can talk about my chases in a way which might just teach you a thing or two about the weather!
Speaking of teaching, I just finished leading a class of students on a storm chase in early June with wonderful results!

Ted presented a program at our public library in NW Arkansas about tornadoes and storm chasing, which he has done professionally. He was friendly, funny, and very interesting. Lots of visual aids - video, photos, and explanation of scientific phenomena. I would compare the program to a very good guest lecture you may enjoy during a college course. One of the highlights of our summer!
