We get the audience involved from the first song...we like it when they are singing or clapping along. If some people want to socialize and have their conversation that's fine with us. But we know somewhere along the way they'll start making noise and be part of the rockin' party.
We cater to the host wishes, some parties want us in the background which is fine, as long as the host, hostess are HAPPY, we're happy...
TEE-M (Tariq Mirza) grew up in Karachi, Pakistan hearing rock/pop on the short-wave radio, listening to street musicians playing the tunes of the land and learning to play on a hand-me-down guitar.
TEE-M has toured for Starbucks all over Southern California & 4 Pakistan Tours, has performed in TX, CT, NJ, Boston, CA. Selected for SOLD OUT 2nd South Asian Music Festival, Times Square, NY. TEE-M was honored when asked in 2005 to perform at John Lennon's 25th Memorial at Capitol Records, Hollywood, and also lit the 1st of 25 Peace Candles, sang Beatles' "In My Life" for John. Then in 2014 was asked to sing at The Beatles 50th Anniversary Celebration at Capital Records. For the encore he sang "I Want To Hold Your Hand." TEE-M thanks Jerry Rubin for the honors...
TEE-M met AL The Bassman in Los Angeles and have been performing at private parties, weddings, cafes, wine bars and clubs with music that inspired him to pick up the guitar in the first place back in Pakistan. Music from the 60's 50's and 70's is what the repertoire is filled with, unique versions of songs by The Beatles, Elvis, Everly Brothers, Bill Haley, Hank Williams, Eagles, Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye and lots of British Invasion songs with great energy. They also sprinkle and throw in some classic Bollywood songs as a surprise in the mix.
TEE-M and Al the Bassman have an open rehearsal hall in Santa Monica's Palisades Park, overlooking the Pacific Ocean and have developed a good fan list including Michael and Kitty Dukakis the 2 times Governor of Massachusetts and the 1988 Democratic presidential nominee. TEE-M has also been interviewed at the rehearsal hall by Brazil TV and GEO TV one of Pakistan's biggest channels.
Phil Brock, the Chair of Santa Monica's Recreation and Parks is also amongst his music fans. TEE-M recently made history at the Santa Monica City Hall Chambers by being the first musical act to perform there.

2 vocal mic's, one mic for the upright bass and an input for the acoustic guitar through the PA sound system. We have our own sound system, in case the venue does not
We love to perform with the natural sounds of the instruments (guitar - upright bass) and voices. We performed for 15 to a hundred people acoustically. The acoustic set up gives us the flexiablity to move around, if the party has more than one room.
