Price Range: $1000-$2000

Tenor Demetrios Jussi Tsinopoulos was born and raised in Greece by a Greek American father and a Finnish mother which set the basis for a multicultural and lingual background from early on.
His Uncle, tenor Antonio Theba and Aunt, former actress and dramaturg Paya Veaki, immersed him into the world of Opera. After the unfortunate passing of his Uncle he was accepted to the prestigious National Conservatory under the tutelage of Mrs. Despoina Kalafati (Hochschule München, under Joseph Metternich). Additionally he also enrolled in the highly acclaimed Veaki Acting school of Drama.
Soon after his studies he decided to move to New York City to further his abilities in opera as he was accepted as a pupil by the world famous tenor and teacher Jack LiVigni. He additionally worked with numerous famous and highly acclaimed coaches and teachers. Most notably tenor Salvatore Fisichella, who he attended a week long masterclass in Rome. He successfully completed the masterclass and was certified for his abilities and understanding of the art.
He has also worked under the instruction of world famous bass Dimitri Kavrakos (Met, La Scala), vocal coach William Hicks (Met, pianist for Luciano Pavarotti), maestro William Vendice (San Francisco Opera) and many others.
During his time in the USA, Demetrios Jussi performed numerous times in both Opera, but predominantly concerts.
His U.S. debut was in May 2015 at Carnegie Hall where he created the role of the high priest for Porphyra, a Greek Opera by (link hidden)rissochos.
In 2016, his Lincoln Center debut took place, performing the lead role of Heracles for the historical first performance at Lincoln Center of a Greek Opera, Olympic Flame by P. Karousos. Soon after he again performed the opera at an open air venue in Queens, Athens Square.
In May of 2016, he was honoured as a Cultural Grant recipient for 2016 by the American Scandinavian Society representing Finland, where he performed numerous lieder by Jean Sibelius at the acceptance event. In 2016 he had the honor of performing in Bulgaria (Pazardjik) under the auspices of UNESCO at the Museum of History there, where he presented numerous well known arias and songs.
In 2017 he had the exceptional honour of being the main performer for the Finnish Centennial Celebration in NYC by Finlandia Foundation which took place at the Lutheran Cathedral in NYC. This was but one of the numerous events he lead for Finlandia Foundation in NYC as he annually was the main performer for the Independence Day events as well as for other charity related ones. At these events he performed Lieder from J. SIbelius and many other Finnish and Scandinavian composers.
Later in 2017 he also performed the lead role (Markos) from the Opera Markos Botsaris by (link hidden)rrer(1857), during its Pan-American premiere at Bard College. He has been awarded twice by Unesco for his contributions to culture and classical music, and has been recognized as a true ambassador of Hellenic classical music globally.
In 2019 he organized and performed for a charity event, which took place in the Bruno Walter Auditorium in Lincoln Center, NYC. He helped raise twenty thousand dollars for a charity organization in Greece, the Hellenic Relief Foundation, which proceeded to award him for his efforts and dedication.
Covid unfortunately put a halt to plans for Opera performances in Greece and the USA but turned out to be a very helpful era as he met his current teacher tenor Giancarlo Monsalve-Leyton with whom he totally changed his vocal technique following the principles of Arturo Melocchi, Marcelo & Mario Del Monaco. Thanks to this huge shift he decided to move to Europe in 2022 to further his career.
Within only months of this move he has already performed two role debuts, in September 2022. He made his debut as Pinkerton from G. Puccini’s masterpiece “Madama Butterfly” in Wales for the North Wales Opera Company, and less than a month later he made his debut as Alfredo from G. Verdi’s “La Traviata” in Zurich, Switzerland for PiccolaOpera.
