I was planning a date night for my significant other and wanted a violinist to play for us outdoors. After supplying all the details for the evening, Thao was very communicative and accommodating, even providing a list of songs separated by genres, that I could build the nights’ playlist from. On the day of my event, Thao stayed in contact with me, confirming the time and place. She followed all of my directions perfectly. Upon arrival, she was personable and friendly while setting up in the outdoor space. In addition to playing beautifully and having a soft music track play in the background, Thao was able to learn a requested song in two days! Her rates are very reasonable and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire her again in the future. She provided a memory for my girlfriend and I that we will always treasure!
We originally thought we wanted a trio, but ended up with a duo, Thao and her Cellist partner, and they were wonderful!
I didn't get to enjoy the pre-ceremony music, because I was busy with the bride, but I got her hear her play my daughter's special song during the ceremony.

Thao was the most perfect addition to our wedding. She played at our ceremony and cocktail hour, and she was absolutely amazing! Leading up to the wedding, she was extremely professional and responded in a very timely manner. I knew I didn’t have to worry about her on my big day because she had everything under control. Thao Pham is a violinist/violist with 16+ years of musical experience. While obtaining her culinary arts degree at Tarrant County College, she joined the TCC Southeast Orchestra. This led to her involvement in several more ensembles: Northeast Orchestra, Texas Chamber Music Project, and Keene Camerata.
In addition to performing in various summer musicals, Thao has performed as a featured soloist in numerous concerts and teaches privately for piano and strings. She also teaches masterclasses for orchestra students in the Mansfield School District. She won the Arlington Arts League scholarship twice with performances on both violin and viola in 2016 and 2017. When she is not teaching or performing, she gigs around the metroplex as a wedding/event violinist. She previously studied with violinists Tzu-Ying Chan, Ivo Ivanov (Fort Worth Symphony), and Emmanuelle Boisvert (Dallas Symphony). Thao obtained a full scholarship to continue her education in music at Southern Methodist University and received her Bachelor of Arts in Music. During her time there, she studied violin with internationally-acclaimed violinist Chad Hoopes and viola with the co-founder and violist of the Escher String Quartet, Pierre Lapointe. Currently, she is the principal violist of the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra, and in May 2017 Thao was a founding member of the Mansfield Philharmonic where she serves as concertmaster and president.
For all outdoor events, proper shade or cover is required! If hired as an ensemble (2 or more players), chairs without armrests are to be provided.
