If you're looking for an original interactive modern rock band that represents the talent and hunger of the Seattle Music Scene, look no further! The Adarna are the first band to coin their genre of "Jet City Rock!" They've appeared all over the world having recently completed their 10th US & Canada Tour alongside Hinder and Saving Abel. Appearing at multiple Anime Cons and Comicons, major rock festivals including Music Fights Back Festival (WI), Rocklahoma (OK), IAM Fest (CT), Bratfest (WI), as well as appearing at Colleges and Universities. They've also performed in 5 countries in SW Asia with the USO for people in the service separated from their families for the holidays.
I had the pleasure of booking The Adarna for my bar. Originally they were booked for March of 2020. But, we all know what happened. They remained in contact throughout the craziness of the pandemic as schedules were adjusted and then re-adjusted several times. Finally the stars aligned and they were able to perform. They put on a fantastic show, drawing in not only their own fans, but also passersby on the street. I will definitely be booking them again in the future!
I’ve seen the Adarna at least six times, every performance has been awesome, plan on seeing them again soon!
catchy hooks, great lyrics, showmanship and originality..... these guys are a lot of fun and worth every penny and every minute you have to spend on them, ... they continue to improve as well, each successive album shows their evolution... its a great ride and i encourage you to get onboard!!
I absolutely love this band and I have a blast every time I see them! I only went to see them because my buddy knew the drummer, but they quickly won me over with their fantastic songwriting and high-energy performance. Since that first show I have collected all their CDs and seen them perform over a dozen times in different venues, from small bars like Bubba's Roadhouse in Sultan to the iconic Tractor Tavern in Ballard. They kill it every time! I have introduced several friends to their music, and they have become fans as well. We all go see them whenever we can.
Here is what you get with an Adarna performance:
- High Energy and a Fun, Interactive Show: These guys pour everything into each show, whether the audience is 20 or 200. Expect there to be fun banter, dancing around, somewhat acrobatic kicks, wandering amongst the crowd (sometimes sharing the mic), and sing-alongs at each show.
- Great Original Songs: The Adarna play well-crafted alternative rock. You will hear shades of Soundgarden, Queensryche, The Cult, Stone Temple Pilots, Franz Ferdinand, and even Wolfmother in their music. Their songs typically have catchy guitar parts, heartfelt open lyrical content, and huge melodic sing-along choruses, all driven by innovative and powerful drum tracks. Go listen to their 2015 EP How Perceptive. It is amazing! Their excellent new album, Road to Resonance, adds a swing and swagger to their sound that really gets the butts shaking.
- Built-In Fanbase: After many national tours, The Adarna have loyal fans all over the country who show up to see them, no matter where they are playing. They also have about 10-20 friends/family/fans who consistently show up to their local shows. They drink plenty of beer and sing and dance, but typically don't break things or start fights.
- Musicianship and Professionalism: These guys are great musicians. Will has an otherworldly voice and great stage presence. Andreka plays tons of cool riffs and solos. Oliver is a rock on bass and backing vocals. Murdock is constantly pounding out complicated rhythms and doing ridiculous fills. Great beard, too. The Adarna are polished and well-rehearsed. Their set flows well from song to song. They are always on time and ready to rock.
- Fun Covers: Animal (Def Leppard), Can't Feel My Face (The Weeknd), The Rain (The Cult), Regular John (Queens of the Stone Age), and others.
The Adarna are regulars at many venues across the state, including The Skylark (West Seattle), Flood Valley Brewing (Chehalis), Bubba's (Sultan), The Infusion (Snoqualmie), and J & M (Pioneer Square). They have played Saikoucon in Pennsylvania for many years. They tend to get invited back to the places they play. Because they are good at this!!
These guys rock. If you get the chance, go see them. Book them for your venue. Buy their albums. Unlike the Mariners and your family and most everything else in your life, they never disappoint!
We were looking for a band to headline a Community Celebration in our small Northwest Town. We had already spoken to several and for whatever reason, things just were not working out. Then a good friend told me about "The Adarna". We had never heard of them, but the fact they had flown overseas to perform for our troops spoke volumes to us. After hearing a few songs on the internet, we quickly booked them. They were just what we were looking for but didn't know it at the time.
They day of the show arrived and of course Washington's "Liquid Sunshine" was also in full attendance. This did not deter The Adarna and they took the stage without hesitation. With-in the first few cords, you could tell these were well-seasoned performers with an amazing stage presence. They bring a ton of energy and have the ability to really engage the crowd.
I was impressed by their music; sort of a mixture of old school rock, alternative rock, punk and a little 80's flare thrown in or "Jet City Rock" as they call it. William is a "Monster" front man and Andreka is small, but powerful with a young "Joan Jett vibe". Oliver and Murdock round out the ensemble and their chemistry is spot on!
Before and after their performance, I was able to spend time talking with the band members and I quickly discovered they are a great group of people. They truly care about the music and want the best performance possible for their audience.
Even though the crowd was small (Due to the wet weather), The Adarna performed as though they were in a Sold Out Stadium and they "Brought It". Audience members were treated to an amazing show that was both fun and full of energy. This Group is AWESOME and I would recommend them for your next show.

-The Adarna
------------------Full Bio-------------------
Taking their name from a mythical phoenix-like songbird in Filipino folklore, The Adarna [pronounced uh-darn-uh] are the first band to ever coin their genre as “Jet City Rock,” due to their proximity to Seattle's Boeing Field. Known for their relentless energy and aggressive tour schedules, this international touring artist is armed with a 3rd album titled "Road to Resonance." In June 2019, the band completed their 10th Tour heading through Canada and North America with Hinder, Saving Abel & American Sin.
Their single, “Superman,” off the album How Perceptive, gained much success in anime and comic fandom. This resulted in the placement of the song in a new superhero video game by Risen Phoenix Studios as well as earning nominations for Best Music Video at the Fanboy Film Festival, Atlanta Film Festival, Tirana International Film Festival, and Los Angeles Philippine Film Festival.
They have been honored to perform internationally for the US troops in 5 countries in SW Asia as part of their Project Gratitude Tour. This high energy group is not shy to co-align themselves with movements and organizations they believe in. They can be seen appearing locally at Boeing's 100th Anniversary celebration, Rock 'n' Roll Marathon, Lakefair Festival, Rock n Rally for the Troops, PNW Live n Local, Rockout ALS Fests, and Wounded Warrior Benefits. Nationally appearing at a number of festivals including Music Fights Back Festival, Rocklahoma, I Am Festival, Bratfest, All Age Rage Festival, Schools and Universities.
The Seattle Weekly suggests that The Adarna are “melodic, polished, and destined for rock radio.” The band has been featured on MTV, Myx TV, M&L TV and about 280+ media outlets/radio worldwide including Fox stations, Sirius XM, Armed Forces Radio, and Harley-Davidson retail with music videos aired in 78 countries. Their first single, “Honestly”, aired to an audience of 10 million households on MYX TV, one of the largest Asian-American networks (ABS-CBN). The band earned this opportunity by being voted into the top 6 finalists.
This fiery, dynamic, and high-energy sound comes from a concoction of influences from old school rock-n-roll such as The Cult and Guns N Roses to modern rock such as Foo Fighters, Sick Puppies, Halestorm, Queens of the Stone Age, and Muse. They’ve shared stages with names like Hinder, Saving Abel, Powerman5000, Bobaflex, Shallow Side, Winger, Stone Sour, The Cult, Zakk Sabbath, Fuel, Nothing More, Art of Dying, Smile Empty Soul, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Windowpane, The Slants, and The Cliks.
Tastes Like Rock Magazine states The Adarna are “rising stars of modern rock who will find their way to the top of the heap of bands out there, so make sure you keep an eye out for them. Whether you are hardcore rockers or alt or punk or even dance pop, you will love The Adarna.”
