Overview
The Audley Reid Band plays all genres of music from contemporary, jazz standards, Motown, Bosa Nova, R&B, Neo Soul, Great American Songbook( Frank Sinatra, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, etc.) to light rock. The band size ranges from two to sixteen pieces. We do covers of top 40 or R&B depending on the client's request.

I requested Audley at the last minute due to a cancelation on a previous booked performer. Audley was very responsive and ready for service. His performance with the saxophone was phenomenal. The performance was soo incredible that my family and I are planning more that we would like him to be our performer. So, thank you. Everyone, including the kids enjoyed.

Audley came to our anniversary dinner and performed a lovely, private set. We had our our jazz concert in our living room. We definitely recommend.

I hired Mr. Reid for a private event in our backyard. It was a surprise for my wife for our wedding anniversary.
Audley showed up on time and was ready to perform very quickly. He played some great songs with a nicely varied set that all of us enjoyed! Being such a small event, there was great interaction between songs on a personal level. He is a terrific sax player!

The Audley Reid Band provided a classy jazz theme to my dad's 50th birthday party. They coordinated with the venue so I could focus on the rest of the party. My favorite interaction with them was when I would ask them if they needed anything and Reid would shake my hand and say "Don't worry man, we got you. Focus on the rest of the party". We were all impressed by their skills and set list. Would highly recommend

Audley was amazing in terms of accommodating last second and being able to be flexible with the host. We had a memorial and knew that the deceased loved live music and would've loved a saxophonist as well. Audley not only played extremely well but he was very professional and helped out in anyway he could. We are definitely going to rehire him for future events!

The Audley Reid Band was hired to perform at my wedding, which was held outdoors. He did an amazing job and from the time I message him on GiGiSalad, he communicated in a timely manner each and every time. He made the wedding ceremony more than expected - as he played beautifully at our outdoor wedding venue. Now, during this same time, I hired Audley to perform a birthday seranade for my wife’s 50th birthday. She was totally surprised and I must say, she was knocked off her feet, when she walked in and Audley was there, for this second occasion and once again he played beautifully.
I recommend the Audley Reid Band for your next occasion. We were in Vegas for our wedding and my wife’s 50th birthday celebration, truly Audley made it everything beyond my expectations. Audley gave an amazing performance for the senior residents at our facility! He was professional and accessible throughout the planning process, was timely on the day of performance, and was extremely kind and patient with residents. My residents couldn't stop singing Audley's praises! Even residents who didn't attend the performance enjoyed hearing the sound of jazz wafting down the hallways. It was such a pleasure having Audley as our special musical guest, and we look forward to hosting him again!

About
Audley L. Reid a.k.a. “Reid” began his musical career 25 years ago. His passionate approach to Smooth Jazz magically takes listeners to an island of musical paradise, a direct result of his Jamaican/Cuban heritage. Although Jamaica proclaims Reid as a native countryman, the Windy City has been home throughout his musical career.
Proficient on all saxophones, with a preference to the Alto sax, Reid has been described as a cross between David Sanborn and the late sax genius Art Porter, but with his own distinct style. He has performed with several entertainment greats including Kendall Lewis, Buddy Guy, Phil Perry, Michael White, Kim Fields, Ray Fuller, Mike Mason, Nick Colionne, Howard Hewett, A.J. Brown, Melvin Miller, Norman Connors, Ray Parker Jr., Michael Henderson, Vivian Green, and Michon Young.
Reid’s saxophone styling has afforded him tremendous opportunities throughout the United States as well as in Mexico, Asia, Canada, Europe, and Jamaica.
Reid’s solo and group performances with various bands, including his own have delighted audiences at a multitude of social galas, venues and events. These include Will Downing, ETA Music Monday, Michael White Smooth Jazz Explosion/Class Act Entertainment (Everette Harp, Jeff Gollub, Maysa, Waymon Tisdale, and Phil Perry), V. Holmes "Tribute to the Motown Greats," Universal Soul Circus, Northern Trust Bank, Flossmoor Country Club, the Boys and Girls Club, The “Taste of Chicago,” Chicago’s new jazz and comedy club, Jokes and Note, Close Up 2 Jazz Festival, “The Annual Hyde Park Jazz Festival”, Greater Hartford Jazz Festival and Detroit's Art Beats and Eats.
