Cello is one the hottest instruments right now and The Austin Duo uses the cello to bring a new spin to popular music. With contemporary, lush cello/guitar arrangements from Radiohead to the Red Hot Chili Peppers - we provide updated classic rock and alternative rock covers on beautiful acoustic instruments that make the perfect music backdrop for any cocktail party, wedding, or corporate event large or small. Wedding ceremony music available as well. Two outstanding professionals that love to work with clients and event planners to create a great experience.

We hired the Austin Duo to play for the cocktail hour at our Austin wedding. They were fabulous! We received so many compliments for our choice, and they are all owed to you the amazing musicians. They were completely prepared and ready to go, and we were able to manage all logistics in one phone call the week of the event--talk about low-stress on my end. My only regret is that I had to be taking pictures during most of their performance and only got to hear the tail end of their set--but what I heard was awesome. Thanks so much for making our wedding that much more magical!

About
Long before The Austin Duo was born, Phyllis studied music in Detroit and went on to study at the University of Michigan. With a double major in Music and Electrical and Computer Engineering, she spent many years refining her craft.
After relocating to Texas, Phyllis searched the Austin area to find the best finger style guitar performers--and discovered Trevor. Trevor studied music in St. Louis and completed his degree in music at Webster University.
With backgrounds ranging from professional orchestras to touring rock bands, the two have joined forces to create updated instrumental covers on classic acoustic instruments.
