The Blandelles have been playing "Rock and Roll, The Way You Remember It!" for 34 years throughout Texas and Oklahoma with stops in Las Vegas, Branson, Springfield, and other cool hangouts along the way. We play music from (phone number hidden)9 almost exclusively, from Elvis, Fats, Chuck and Jerry Lee to the Temps and Smokey from the Motown years to wrapping up with hits from the Doors, CCR, Beatles, etc. We are a seven-piece band with rich harmonies and talented musicians. A normal visit from the Blandelles gets you three hour-long sets with 15-minute breaks. We can provide a sound man if necessary with an acceptable price quote. References abound. Come see us live, and you'll pick The Blandelles!
They rock the house with music that wont let my feet be still. Awesome Dance band. They keep it fun and fresh!
The first time I saw the Blandelles perform was at The Lone star roadhouse in Dallas Texas, I knew a couple of guys in the group, just never really thought i would like this kind of music, because I grew up in the 80's, really i made fun of my husband for listening to this kind of music, i thought it was too old for me, boy was I wrong, these guys really know how to put on a show, the music was awesome!! I loved it so much, I have been several times to see them, anytime they are in my area, i try to be there...If your looking for a great time, love to dance, or just relax and enjoy music from the 50's and 60's, the Blandelles is the band to see!!
Price Range: $850-2500, depending on driving distance
It's simple...songs from the '50s and '60s the way you remember them. We have a great personality...and good looks. What a combination! We love to shake hands and hug necks before, during and after shows...come see us!
The Blandelles are a collection of professionals who have carved out a niche in the northeast Texas and southern Oklahoma area by playing Rock and Roll the Way You Remember It since 1985. That's 26 rockin' years if you are scoring at home. We all have day jobs - in regular life, the seven band members include six educators and one insurance guy.
We strive the play the songs the way you remember them. The music from the '50s and '60s will live forever, and we love the songs. We have recorded three CDs and a cassette (that dates us a bit) at various labels and studios, including Sun Studios in Memphis. Over the years we have opened for (or played with) Vince Vance and the Valiants, Johnny Reno, The Fabulous Harmonaires, Kraig Parker, and tons of others.
We have several outifts in our wardrobe, including tuxedos, jackets, hawaiian shirts, our "cool" shirts, four different colors of monogrammed bowling shirts, and multiple colors of Blandelles T-shirts from over the years.
About our name: The band was created by some faculty members who taught at Bland High School in Merit, Texas - hence the name, "Blandelles." Only one member is left from 1985, and none of the current band members have taught at Bland since the 1980s. Since changing our name would mean starting over again, we've kept the Blandelles name all these years.
Rest assured that those who hire the Blandelles will get a professional show. We can furnish a sound board operator with most shows unless you have one of your own. We love to travel to new places where we have not performed, but we also love the venues we have played on multiple occasions over the years. We have a standing live show every third Saturday at the Lone Star Roadhouse in Dallas. You are welcome to come by and see us anytime - check out the calendar on our website for current dates. We do weddings, reunions, homecomings, festivals, and any other kinds of celebrations.
