My work as "The Blue-Eyed Balladeer" is a solo project, covering crooner standards and music from the 40's, 50's and 60's. With professional sound and lighting equipment, as well as 20 years of experience, it's my intention to bring the nostalgia of yesteryear's music back into the foreground of today. My act is for those who can appreciate the classics, yet who still remain young at heart.
As a retired high school English teacher and father of three daughters, the highlight of most of my days was singing my daughters to sleep when they were young. Now older and not really into daddy singing them to sleep, I've reflected on the genre and style of songs my parents sang to me when I was little and proudly do my best to cover them with style and charisma, without losing any of their original panache. Having over 20 years of experience fronting cover bands, my love truly lies with covering songs from yesteryear and being able to bring back that nostalgia that has long since passed. As well as being a musician and retired high school English teacher, I have a Master's degree in counseling/psychology, am a published author, an ordained minister and live a very simple life at home with my daughter, Peyton, my beautiful and amazingly supportive wife, Janine, and our dog, Scarlet.
I require no equipment whatsoever as I personally own and use professional sound and lighting equipment. I am able to perform anywhere with just a simple power source provided.
