The Bläk Shëp

The Bläk Shëp are here to bring joy to the people through high energy performances and great music. We want to provide a space where anyone listening can remember what it's like to be completely free to be ourselves, to sing and dance and remember to be ourselves again for a few moments.

We would like to remind you that rocknroll is supposed to be fun, and can bring out the kid in all of us, no matter our age. We bring the good vibes and the good times to any age group, venue, or event so you all can sit back, relax, and be entertained with some good ole fashioned rock ‘n roll fun!

The Bläk Shëp consist of best buds, Bryan Overholt & Allen Sanders, who have been playing music together since 2005. Their first band together, El Fabuloso, was an Athens OH college pop/punk/rock act that was pure energy. Then came The Shadow Side, which was a more mature, cerebral sound and lyrical rock band that had energy, but also something to say. After the band broke up in 2012, Bryan has continued to play and tour with bands like Thief Club, Harboring Ghosts, and We Are The Movies. Allen went on to play locally in Miami FL as a full time musician performing 5/6 days/week at weddings, events, parties, Tiki Bar gigs, as well as working for a children's music education program, RockUcation. They now focus on providing all ages entertainment with fun covers for kids and adults of all ages.

We have all our own equipment including PA and portable lighting, or can connect to a house PA with 2 direct lines, one for guitar and one for the drum machin, and 2 vocal mics. One electrical outlet, or we can go acoustic if that works better. We are very flexible to suit your needs.
