The Clutch Kings
- Austin, TX
- Classic Rock Band
- Travels up to 300 miles
- $400-$2,500
Overview
One of Austin’s most versatile rock cover bands. They always put on a great show and can play from 1-4 hours’ worth of rock covers, a bit of modern country and a few guilty pleasure '80s tunes to keep the beer flowing and the party going. Think The Black Crowes, Tom Petty, Pat Benatar, AC/DC, Van Halen, Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Journey, Bryan Adams, Billy Idol, SRV, Poison.
The Clutch Kings are at home playing clubs, corporate events, private parties, resorts, car shows & tailgates. They can also play both electric & smaller stripped down shows perfect for pool parties, backyard parties or corporate office parties. They can play any size venue as they have 3 different size setups.

The Clutch Kings came out and performed at the Coupland Dance Hall. They were a big hit among us car enthusiast. Michael Tarsha did a superb job communicating with me and the owner of the venue. I highly recommend them.
Classic Rock Band
Once again, Austin's own, The Clutch Kings, succeeded to deliver a stellar performance at The Red Eyed Fly on a Friday Night in the lounge. The guys killed it on a show that belies the fact that there was no cover charged at the door. These guys did a kick ass set for the public with no charge at the door. That doesn't just happen in Austin everyday. This high energy rock band knocked the doors down and tore the roof off like they always do at The Red Eyed Fly. Very professional and generally a lot of fun. Can't wait to see them on Friday October 24th at 9pm when they do it once again at The Red Eyed Fly in the lounge.

What to Expect
The Clutch Kings pride themselves on being able to play a large variety of venues. The band is comfortable playing a Texas Hill Country Ice House, backyard private parties or full club gigs. They have a knack for mixing their original rock tunes with some of your favorite classic rock covers, new country and guilty pleasure '80s..
About
The Clutch Kings hail from Austin, TX and are everything the band’s name suggests. They pack the big Texas rock sound into a mighty guitar, bass and drums format. Outstanding vocals, slippery rock guitar runs, chugging bass grooves, and thundering drums are the order of the day here. With Kember Ottley’s amazing vocals out front they can do what few bands are capable of by playing a mix of Rock covers, new Country and even some guilty pleasure ‘80s.
The band was formed in 2011 when longtime friends Michael Tarsha (bass guitarist for AudioLight) and Kory Brown (lead guitarist for the Bitter Angels) were playing the same bill and noticed that the opening band had cancelled. Not wanting to let the audience or club owner down, Michael and Kory put together a quick 45-minute set within just a few days, called in a favor with one of their favorite drummers and named themselves The Clutch Kings. What started out as a challenge and one time gig to play some of their favorite cover tunes quickly turned into more than they expected when the club asked them back to headline more shows. More clubs caught the Clutch Kings vibe and gigs started to pile up.
Today the band is made up of Kember Ottley who can sing anything from Ozzy to Opera. Pete “The Stuntman” Skermetta is on lead guitar and can pull off everything from SRV to Van Halen. Kriss
Ward lays down big, tasty drums grooves and handles background and even lead vocals on a few tunes. Michael Tarsha of course still handles all the bass duties.
Today the band stays busy playing clubs, private parties, corporate events, tailgates, car shows and of course the annual Corvette Invasion in Austin.
