The Covernotes is a live function and party band that plays everything from the classics to current floor fillers to get your party started. We play weddings, functions and corporate events.
We are fun and flexible with a professional attitude. We are all experienced in performing live having played hundreds of gigs for various private and corporate events.
We pride ourselves on being reliable performers, multi-instrumentalists and vocalists providing professional and energetic performances of the highest calibre. We are immaculately turned out, friendly, accommodating and enthusiastic, always giving 100%. We carry our own professional instruments with a full top of the line PA system.

Ken and the Covernotes were amazing for our event! We hosted a corporate winter event with about 80 attendees and we think they left a great impression with all of our guests. The tunes were great and certainly a good level of professionalism. Ken was super duper to work with, very accommodating with our specific needs in terms of volume, play time among other silly requests I had! As someone who doesn’t typically do events on a day-to-day basis, Ken was very flexible in approach and was happy to make some adjustments on the fly. They bring all of their own equipment so I didn’t even need to worry about that! I would highly recommend the Covernotes if you’re looking to spruce up your event, you won’t regret it 😊

The Covernotes were amazing, from start to finish. In the days leading up to our event, back and forth communications we’re an absolute breeze - arranging logistics couldn’t have gone smoother with their incredible knowledge of what they needed from us in order to ensure their best performance for our community. They even customized their set list to include Halloween inspired music to go with the theme of our event. On the day of, The Covernotes did not disappoint. Everyone loved their performance and eclectic music selections that literally catered to everyone in our crowd - even the kiddos. Over 1000 people in our community had the pleasure of being entertained by them and we look forward to working with them again. Party Band
The Covernotes played at our wedding and were awesome! The weather was unexpectedly good so they took the initiative and moved outside to play acoustically instead, which went down a treat. They then played inside during canapés and dinner. They played a great range of music using different instruments and even allowed us to pick out our favourites in advance, a huge thanks to the guys for helping to make it a perfect day. Highly recommend to anyone!
Wedding Band
I hired The Covernotes for my husband's surprise 50th, based on their show reel video, wide set repertoire and their prompt and simple communication style. We were blown away with how good the Covernotes were! We wanted to mark the milestone with getting together family from afar, friends old and new to help celebrate it. The Covernotes repertoire of songs was already so extensive and even on the night, they were able to perform requests from the guests. They sounded so good, and really got the guests up and dancing for practically all of the evening. We had a real mix of ages and everyone commented on how brilliant the band were! They were super professional, turning up on time, quick set up, no fuss and super friendly! Music to suit everyone and real dance floor fillers! They had a background playlist between sets and mingled with the guests. Thank you so much for making the party so much fun! Couldn’t recommend enough!

What to Expect
We are a 4 piece band featuring guitar, keys, bass and drums and we double up with the singing and harmonies to create a big sound. We have a very large set list across our band and perform classic cover tracks across the 50s to current floor fillers including a range of soul, reggae, rock and roll, funk and pop from artists such as Elvis Presley, Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Queen, Elton John, Maroon5, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Whitney Houston, Amy Winehouse, Prince, Bob Marley, James Brown, Santana, Chic, Michael Jackson, Dua Lipa and many more. And if you want a specific song just ask!

We are reliable performers, able to turn out energetic performances of the highest calibre. We are immaculately turned out, friendly, accommodating and enthusiastic, always giving 100%. We carry our own professional instruments with a full PA setup.
Additional Booking Notes
We are very flexible and can assist you in planning our event. For our base service, we carry full back line for all instruments and we always include a PA system to cover venue of to 250 people. If something additional is required can discuss this and provide transparent costs in our quotation.
Our base requirements are:
-Footprint of 3m x 4m or 9 x 12 feet. Generally, we can set up in a very small footprint.
-Grounded power supply socket, approx. 5 metres to set up area
-Parking and access to the venue
-1.5 hours prior to event start for set up and sound check
-Wireless Microphones can be provided if required for MC.
-We manage our own sound through our own mixing system
-If you have an iPad / mp3 player you can use our system to play music in breaks.
-We offer lighting for the band only.

Set List
We have an extensive set list and are well experienced in managing the set list either live or we can work with you to develop the best set arrangement, including specific songs for your event. We include for background / ipad music during breaks as standard.
Example set times as standard cover 3 hours on site and we are flexible with no fuss in the arrangements. Some standard examples are 2x 60 minutes with a 20 min break or 3x 40 minutes with 15 min breaks. On average a set of 1 hour would cover 16-19 songs.
