The group features trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, flute, trombone, piano, bass, a female vocalist & drums. We can perform as a duo, trio, or up to seven pieces.
I had the pleasure of working with The Craig Satchell Jazz and Swing Ensemble for the Reading Terminal Market's annual fundraiser this year. The ensemble's talent and passion for jazz were evident from the moment they began playing. Each member of the group showcased incredible skill and musicianship, seamlessly blending together to create an unforgettable musical experience. Craig Satchell Jazz and Swing Ensemble were definitely a hit at the Keeping Marriage Fun Gatsby Ball! The professionalism during the process from booking to the performance was exceptional. The music selections and overall sound of the band transported the KMF couples back to the 1920's era with such ease. I definitely recommend the Craig Satchell Jazz and Swing Ensemble.

I hire a lot of bands, but this one by far was terrific! They were polished, professional and most importantly our guests just loved them. Very rare our guests will applaud at an event - especially a networking event - but they loved them so much they applauded almost every song.

My husband, parents, and I were absolutely impressed with The Craig Satchell Jazz Ensemble and their performance during our wedding reception. Not only was the band very easy to work with, they are consummate musicians and professionals. We have received so many wonderful comments from our guests. The band also learned the music for our "special dances" (first dance, daddy/daughter, mother/son) and worked seamlessly with our DJ. The band is one of the reasons our wedding reception went off without a hitch. They helped to make it a night we'll always remember with great fondness.
I hired a 5 man New Orleans style band to walk with my wedding party and guests from the church to the reception venue and then play in the garden during cocktail hour--they were fantastic!!! Everybody's favorite part of the day was the walk from church to the reception. Their music was so joyful and celebratory (and skillful), and it put everyone in a great mood to celebrate. It was absolutely perfect...everything I had hoped for. Thank you so much for all your help!
The Craig Satchell Jazz Ensemble performed at our Company Holiday Party and were amazing! Everyone raved at how great the band was. They played a mix of songs from Oldies, Classic Favorites and Christmas Music! I would definitely reccommend them for your event, they did a wonderful job!! Craig was also very easy to work with leading up to the event, he answered emails almost immediately and answered all of my questions.
The Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation booked the Craig Satchell Quartet for two half-hour performances at Historic Bristol Day, Oct. 20, 2012. We requested music from the early 1920s and the Quartet delivered a great combination of jazz and Dixieland from that period, to the delight of the audience.
Craig was so professional! The music was so great! My guests just loved having a live band at the wedding reception.
Craig has played at 2 fundraisers for Sunshine Arts and he can play anything. Our theme was 1920's and he and his little ensemble, we had limited space, set the mood perfectly. Always prompt and just creates a joyful room with his keyboard magic.
Craig Satchell and his Jazz Ensemble provided music during the cocktail hour of my daughter's wedding. They received rave reviews from our guests and were simply wonderful to work with. I highly, highly recommend them.
