My performance style puts juggling front and center. Any sort of gig, from ambience juggling and relaxed street performing, to rigorous choreographed stage routines is within my wheelhouse. I focus more on showcasing the juggling, rather than talk or use comedy. Amazement, spectacle, and flexibility are words that I like to use when describing my style.
My name is Christopher Van Hoomissen, and I've been performing since I was a toddler. At the age of 11, I joined a juggling club, and quickly rose in skill. Since then, I practiced nearly every day, honing my skills. I have performed and competed around the world, to great success. With multiple medals and over a decade of experience under my belt, I am beginning my journey as a freelance performer.
Ceiling height, and space between myself and the audience are the two most important factors. I can work in any space, but will change the tricks and props used depending on the conditions. Additionally, outdoor performances can have some constraints in regards to certain props or tricks, but aren't as limiting as ceiling height or distance from the audience.

I received my juggling training through Jugheads, and their format has the biggest impact on my performance style. The Shoebox Tour, featuring Jay Gilligan, and Water on Mars, with Wes Peden, Tony Pezzo and Patrik Elmnert, are the biggest influences on my creative and performative aspects. The WJF "kids", specifically Jonah Botvinick-Greenhouse, Delaney Bayles, Noah Schmeissner, and Spencer Androli, pushed me to improve my technical skills. I have many influences, and it shows in my routines.
No equipment is required. I will bring my own props, and can perform in any space.
