Beneventi’s Italian in Mingus, Texas had another great dinner event for New Year’s Eve with The DeMores Duo. The DeMores are perfect entertainment for dinner parties and as the evening moved along, everyone stayed and enjoyed the music and visiting with friends.

John and Sara did a great job for us. They were easy to work with and went out of their way to integrate some special requests into their performance. They arrived on time, were easy to set up and had excellent sound equipment. The music they produced was perfect for the audience I provided, eliciting many positive comments from my guests.

What to Expect
The DeMores are the core for three acts: a versatile acoustic duo, great for smaller more quiet venues; an acoustic trio, Sara and the SaraTones, that is higher energy and features acclaimed Lubbock guitarist John Sprott; and a full band, Little Beat, which adds a drummer for larger-venue events. All three are experienced working groups featuring vocal harmonies and crowd-pleasing song lists, and can provide all sound equipment and lighting as needed.
The DeMores would be suitable for a restaurant, small club, or private home setting. They have an eclectic cover song list that skews more to familiar songs from past decades, but have newer material too; as well as a Christmas set and lots of love songs. They can provide quieter background music for receptions or dinners, if needed.
Sara and the SaraTones work well in a variety of situations from large to small. They have a larger song selection and higher energy, thanks to the addition of guitarist John Sprott. They can play showy guitar or mandolin numbers with 3-part harmony.
Little Beat is the band for a traditional dance-type gathering such as a wedding reception or large corporate party. With drummer Mark Austin in the mix, they can play rock-n-roll, country two-steps, and waltzes, and have the backline to cover sound for a large room if needed.
About
John and Sara DeMore are a married couple who have been performing together in various bands and as a duo for decades; John has been a keyboard player and/or bassist since the age of 14. John Sprott, Sara's brother, is an acclaimed guitarist who received the "Texas Tornado" designation from Buddy Magazine in 2004; Mark Austin is a talented and versatile drummer and bassist. Both have performed with countless groups, live and in session work, for many years, some of them together. The DeMores have played off and on with John Sprott for forty years, most recently as Sara and the SaraTones; all four musicians joined forces in 2017 to form the band Little Beat.
