Southern California's 70's and Early 80's Dance Rock, Yacht Rock, AM Gold, FM Radio Rock, Soul Funk Party Band! THE DIRTY LOWDOWN can play in full-on rock mode or laid-back acoustic with the same energy and impact. We can play one 45-minute set, several sets, or a three to four-hour set without stopping. Anything can happen at our shows, sometimes audience members come up on stage and join because anything goes. And the rule is anyone who gets on our stage gets a special dirty lowdown name, too. We love to play and we come at it any which way we can because it’s always a party when we do. It's dance party USA!
Great band, amazing music and not only they all showed up early but they were dressed well, and were on stage for 2 hours none stop. Everyone was impressed by their sounds and enjoyed how well they played.
I would give 10 stars if I could, very professional and worm at the same time.
Response from The Dirty Lowdown:
Jackie! Thank you so much! We had a blast!
We have a winery/Brewery in Camarillo. These guys are on our continued rotation. They provide a great energetic experience with incredible vocals. We look forward to having them on our stage.
Response from The Dirty Lowdown:
Thank you, we love playing there!!!!
I booked the Dirty Lowdown for my wife's 40th. I'd seen and loved the band before and they did not disappoint. They have a great set list, not cookie cutter but not too obscure. Everyone knew every song but they were also excited to hear some they weren't expecting. Lots of dancing and sing a long's . Would have them back anytime.
Response from The Dirty Lowdown:
Thank you so much, Tim. The party was a blast. Hope to do it again!
I’ve used the Dirty Lowdown for years for specialty event in May and October as well as for use in my restaurant/bar over the years.
They are all technically proficient as well as great at reading the crowd.
Easy to deal with as well as respectful to tge sound guy and other staff.
Also bonus points for being the only band over the years to want to play longer then their 2 hour window.
5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Response from The Dirty Lowdown:
Thank you, Rory! We love playing those events. We have so much fun!

A five-piece band can cover a lot of music. We have a big sound for a small band. High energy. We can play for 30 min or we can play for 4 hours straight. Sing-alongs, lots of dancing, and audience participation. Able to play background music (mid-tempo and mellower classics) and can play danceable songs all night long and Special Requests in advance to provide the soundtrack to your memory-making moments. Sweet Lou Montague, the singer, is an excellent host as well, capable of MC'ing any event, wedding, party, or special occasion for whatever your needs may be.
The Dirty Lowdown is a band from Los Angeles, California. They have a passion for warm vintage vibes and catchy hooks, keeping things exciting and diverse with their engaging live act. The group set out to bring back the sultry sound and feel of 70s AM Gold and other retro gems to make the audience move!
Do you remember when music on the radio was actually cool? The Dirty Lowdown sure does! Their mission is to dust off those forgotten 60s, 70s, and 80s hits, to party like there’s no tomorrow, to the tunes of yesterday!
And what exactly is The Dirty Lowdown? Well, it's the bottom line. It's what's happened and what's happening. It's shady. It's nasty. It can cut you but it's smooth and silky like a summer breeze. It will Kiss You All Over. It's a Tarantino Soundtrack. It's Steve Austin's personal mixtape. It's a London underground party in 1974, a block party in NYC in 1977, and a roller disco in San Fernando Valley in 1980. It's not lounge music, it is the freakin' lounge itself. It's the place to be. It's a cold beer, it's gettin' down. It's a fresh, plush carpet-covered, 70's van interior. It's a criss-cross, sugar cone with two scoops of butterscotch ice cream, melting and dripping over your fist on the hottest day of the year. It's the windows down, music blasting, easin' the seat back ride away from the last sin you committed. It's the nanosecond before you commit the next one. Damn! It's THE DIRTY LOWDOWN.
The Dirty Lowdown is comprised of four righteous individuals with many years of experience: Spider MacKenzie (Amos Przekaza of Alana and These Fine Gentlemen, Yacht Rock) on Drums, Harry Le Djangles (Jeremy Fleener of Cypress Hill, SX10) on Guitar, Nigel Ambrose (Adam Matijasevic of Jinx, Naia Izumi) on Bass, Kurt Zweiler (Mark Huhnke of Off the Record) on Keys, and Sweet Lou Montague (Giovanny Blanco of Viva Malpache!, SHU-SHO, The Holy Broken) on Vocals. The band stays true to the tone of the originals, and these talented musicians go to great lengths to recreate the magic of these oldies - acoustically and electrically, and hopefully encourage a new generation of listeners to fall in love with these ageless anthems all over again.
Don’t miss out on The Dirty Lowdown! THE DIRTY LOWDOWN
