Out of the upstate of South Carolina comes The Drovers Old Time Medicine Show, playing hard charging, moonshine fueled bluegrass with a good dose of country humor thrown in for the folks. They hit the stage like Bill Monroe, The Stanley Brothers, and the band's heroes' on the Grand Old Opry such as Uncle Dave Macon used to do. Whether it's a foot stomping fiddle number or a solemn gospel number, this hillbilly band is the real deal.

Great guys and loved the music! They definitely put a smile on your face when you hear them. Played a good variety of gospel and bluegrass that everyone knows, plus some of their originals. It was a great day!

5 out of 5. It was our great pleasure to have the Drovers Old Time Medicine Show as our wedding band on June 8th. From the beginning, Ed Campbell was easy to work with both over the phone and via email and was very professional. The price we were quoted was extremely reasonable for what they delivered. The band learned several songs to play as requests and had an extensive repertoire of classic and original bluegrass tunes. Their originals were so good we chose three of them to be played during our ceremony! While on breaks they graciously allowed us to play our Spotify playlists through their P.A, and brought extra equipment to help us out if needed. They were a huge hit with our guests and were friendly and gregarious to be around. The Drovers played for several hours, while our guests arrived, during our ceremony, during our cocktail hour and also for our after-dinner dance party. They really brought a lot of energy and fun to our evening and got folks dancing. They even pulled us on stage to do a song with them! We would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking to add a genuine and enjoyable bluegrass experience to their event.

The audio demos on this site do not do justice to the entertainment and quality of playing the Drovers brought. Solid fiddle and banjo picking and the bass player was always in the pocket (a huge compliment). The singer / guitarist kept us singing, dancing, and clapping. We can't stop talking about the performance!
The Drovers made my wedding special. They playing music that appealed to everyone. My 87 year old Nanny and my 4 year old nephew were able to dance and have fun to the music. we will be using them again for barbecues and parties here at the lake in the future!
I Highly recommend The Drovers to anyone wanting a relaxing time at your wedding and reception!!!

We can play any type of event, from backyard bbq parties, church socials, all types of festivals, rock clubs......anything, any place, and the people will be happy. Whether it's a quiet event or the rip roaringest hoedown, we know what to do. Our band has been together 25 years, and we enjoy picking and singing, and it shows!
Cousin Ray's fiddle wil MAKE you dance and feel good! Uncle Carl's will dazzle you with his dexterity on the ol' five strang. Grandpa and Dalvin's vocal harmonies are the best around. The only thing we require is one (1) electrical outlet, and protection from the elements and we are ready to go!!
