You should expect and receive a well rehearsed, well dressed, well behaved, great sounding band whether you hire the acoustic duo or the full 9 piece band. We fullfill the needs of the client and the event 1st, hence our longevity. Cooperation is the key to any successful event and you won't find any huge egos, divas, or primadonas in this crew. It isn't about us, it's about the gig and pleasing the people who hired us.

It's hard to condense 45years of performing into a few paragraphs buy I'll give it my best shot. My name is Winston Robinson but everyone calls me Dub. It's a Texas thang. I started the Drugstore Cowboys Band in 1972 as a Senior in High School. Yep, that's 45 years. For the last 22 I have shared the stage with Jan Zerda, an incredible singer, great guitarist, and accomplished musician. Our "Shades" Cd features her entirely and she has many trax on DC3 and DC4, two other DSC CDs. There will be a new one this year for the 45th, making it 5 CDS total. Jan and I are the hub of the band and from there we perform as an acoustic duo all the way up to a nine piece band if the gig requires. We have a large repertoire and many of our sidemen sing as well, adding to the list and the fun. The pool of musicians we draw from are the best from the San Antonio and surrounding areas and people we have done many gigs with. Because of our longevity we know all the best and who are the best suited for the job. We have many, many corporate jobs, weddings and private functions under our belt as well as numerous opening slots and public shows under that same belt. We have been the backup band for many artists, Stoney Edwards[Capital[, Gary Stewart[RCA], Johnny Rodrigues[Capital], and many more. We are comfortable playing small, intimate settings as well rocking the roof off in a big hall. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, meeting the needs of our client, and our ability to play good music. Even after 45years it's still as much fun as when we started. We sound quite a bit better now.LOL

We supply our own sound and lights when required. We know the ins and outs of playing on provided systems also. Key word, once again, cooperation. The size and amount depends on the event but we can go as big or as small as you want. We know the best sound/lighting co.s in the area and hire them if the event is huge. The size of the stage depends on the size of the band you hire.
