- Travels up to 120 miles
- $750 - $5000
Overview
Doo Wop style "street corner harmony" at it's best. The Dukes of Doo Wop and their pure acapella style takes you back to the 50's & 60's. Having recently performed for the Doo Wop Hall Of Fame they have shared the stage with such legends as The Coasters, The Teenagers, The Duprees, Jimmy Gallagher & The Passions, John Kuse & The Excellents, Tony Middleton & The Willows, John Kuse & The Excellents, David Somerville (The Diamonds) and Norman Fox (The Rob Roys). They have performed at the Cerritos Center For The Performing Arts, the Bonita Arts Center, as well as the Lewis Playhouse. When it comes to pure street corner harmony The Dukes of Doo Wop are one of Southern California's best.

I have heard them at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts and in small intimate private parties....regardless of the venue, the Dukes of Doo Wop always deliver a polished, wonderful performance.

What to Expect
The Dukes Of Doo Wop take the audience back to a time when the quality of music and vocals was far more important than just a beat. Our audiences sing along, smile, and feel comfortable letting their hair down and dancing. Families and romances were begun listening to the music that The Dukes bring alive.

I've been singing for longer than I can remember. Sadly, I can't remember what I had for breakfast but I've been singing longer than that. Choirs, Musical Theater, Barber Shop, DooWop, Rock Bands, and A Capella: I love it all but I have a pure fondness for DooWop. Scenes in Television Shows and Movies of 4 to 6 guys, huddled together and entertaining the neighborhood with just their harmonies, it just worked for me. I remember being fixated on the Sha Na Na show waiting for that Bass start to Goodnight Sweetheart. In Los Angeles, I have had the privilege and pleasure to sing with the Angel City Chorale, Traffic Jam, and The Tuesdays ((link hidden)) and now The Dukes of DooWop. This boy from the suburbs of Philly misses cheesesteaks and TastyKakes but I found love for tamales, shave ice and the live music scene in L.A.
