The DZ Combo

The DZ Combo can offer hours of easy-listening jazz music. The group plays many well-known jazz standards as well as original jazz tunes. Requests for specific songs can be made if they are well in advance of the performance date. The group is typically a quartet comprised of piano, drums, bass, and trumpet- however, other local musicians occasionally sit in with the group. The DZ Combo is perfect for background music at your party, fundraiser, or art show. The members of The DZ Combo love to share their music with an audience and never bring a poor attitude to a gig. Monetary compensation ensures the musicians that their time is appreciated, but The DZ Combo brings a positive outlook to sharing their music regardless of the budget for the event.

The DZ Combo is a jazz combo comprised of local Dubuque musicians. Having met at a local jazz night, the group was formed with the intention of making jazz music more accessible and available to Dubuque and surrounding areas. The DZ Combo usually performs with just a few amps for piano and bass. However, if you’re interested in filling a large space and think the group might need more amplification- additional cost may be required for renting a sound system and microphones.
