Authentic German sound with our 5 (or more) piece Edelweiss Band. We were formed to be the house band for the Famous Edelweiss Restaurant in Fort Worth, but it’s sudden closure left us out wandering the alps for more places to play German music. Our leader, Brian Standridge has produced some truly amazing and authentic arrangements for dozens of famous German tunes with a few surprises thrown in! Waltz’s, Polkas, Marches, Happy birthday concerto, Chicken Dance! And many more songs you won’t hear anywhere else. Brian has performed at the Edelweiss Restaurant hundreds of times since the 90’s, playing with local legend Helga Beckman and becoming a true expert in all things German music.
Hired these folks to play an outdoor event and things couldn't have gone better. The musical skills of all 5 musicians is beyond compare. They interacted with the audience to get them involved in a few of the most common German songs (Ein Prosit der Gemütlichkeit, the "chicken dance", and some other song that got everyone up and dancing). Before the gig started, they also asked me of there were any particular songs we wanted to hear. I was so impressed and would hire them again in a heartbeat.
