Julian P. Robinson (41), native Houstonian, received his Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from Sam Houston State University, Huntsville, Texas. He later received his M.S. degree in Management Information Systems at the Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.

He currently serves as the Senior IT Project Manager at Houston Community College in Houston, Texas. He began preaching in December 1999 at The Little York Church of God in Christ, under the leadership of his uncle, Supt. Thomas Edwards. For the last four years he served as assistant pastor to Rev. Terry A. Diamond of the Abundance of Blessings Church of God In Christ.

In January 2012, he branched out to form The Empowered Church in Humble, Texas. Robinson sings, writes, preaches, teaches, and occasionally plays bass guitar. He believes the word of God, Jesus Christ, empowers people to do better and be better. “Be Empowered” is a common phrase from him.
