The Flying Ivories

The Flying Ivories recently performed at our wedding and I could not be more impressed. From my initial conversations with Ricky down to Brad's last performance of the night, I would recommend them 10 times over, in fact, I was handing out their contact info to inquiring guests before the wedding even ended. The level of professionalism and service can't be beat. They made our reception an absolute party and I couldn't be more grateful to have worked with and witnessed them in action! Definitely consider The Flying Ivories for your next even - you will NOT be disappointed!

They say music makes or breaks a wedding. I’m our case the Flying Ivories made our wedding even more amazing! Ricky and the rest of the gang were fantastic! They were engaging with the crowd and playing music that fit the tone of the evening. They had everyone dancing and singing from the start and continued to play until the end of the night. I couldn’t recommend these guys enough!

Ricky and Brenner put on a great show for our members! The audience participation was overwhelming and people were singing along and dancing. From their arrival and setup to the actual performance, they were top notch! Would highly recommend them for any event!

My wife and I are huge fans of dueling pianos but have had mixed experiences with them, where we live in Maine. As we planned a "Celebration party" (a post Covid wedding, a birthday and a retirement!), we were delighted to have had the Flying Ivories, and specifically Ricky, come highly recommended to us. Ricky was a delight to work with from the outset, being careful to understand our audience (70 people, and a mix of 30 somethings to over 70) and ensuring we could host in our selected venue (Vinegar Hill Music Theater - highly recommended too). Ricky was flexible enough to play background music for us as guests arrived and mingled outdoors, he MC'd the party, ensuring we stayed on track, and then led what was, simply put, a fabulous show. Ricky had brought Nina as his dueling piano partner, and Nate as a drummer. Our audience was just amazed - the quality of the playing, their voices and their rendering of all the popular songs, was almost beyond belief. This group chose the perfect tunes, that got everyone dancing and the active participation of requesting songs was a terrific way for people to enjoy the show even more. We could not have asked more and we received lots of complements, on behalf of the Flying Ivories, for putting on such a wonderful show. As a further testament to the quality of this team, even the Vinegar Hill management were truly impressed with how great the show was.

We have no hesitation in recommending Ricky and the Flying Ivories for any event of this type - they really made the evening for us and our guests.

it was our first fundraiser since covid, from the first email mail to the last key struck they were great.
The players were professional, funny, on time, they made it a fun event. I did my research and watched them on You Tube and many others before making a decision to hire they, if you do you will be happy you did.

We had the Flying Ivories for our wedding reception in May! They were unbelievable!! From our initial meetings to the night of our wedding, they were enthusiastic, accommodating and fun to work with. Our family and friends cannot stop talking about the music. They were full of energy, excitement and entertainment all night long. We are so excited for them to come back for our larger reception

My fiance and I love to travel and when we were in Myrtle beach we saw a dueling piano band that was so much fun, so when it cam to planning our wedding in the Boston area, our first thought for entertainment was to choose a dueling piano band. We did some internet searches and found the flying ivories. We reached out and they gave us some dates they were playing at a local bowling alley to see them in person and make sure we liked them. They were one of a few dueling pianos we saw at the time. By far they were the best we heard. Their humor and showmanship was just as amazing as the ones we saw in Myrtle Beach, and the breadth of songs they knew was great. So we booked them for our wedding. Along the way, Ricky was so responsive to emails and questions I had about how the night would run. You could tell they have done quite a few weddings, and had a simple answer to all my concerns. It made planning my day so much easier to know they had this down pact. When our wedding came, they did an absolutely amazing job of checking in with us and making sure they kept our timeline going. Some things we even pushed up and they were very flexible on the spot. I picked a wedding song they didn't know since it was a newer one, and they were able to learn it for us and it was absolutely amazing! All of our guests raved about how great they were, people were impressed with how many songs they could request and what the guys knew. I know for a fact that many of my guests only stayed right up until the end of the reception just to listen to the whole set from the dueling pianos. I would hire them for any event I was doing again in a heart beat. If you are on the fence, just hire them, they are well worth every penny we paid and more.

We used the dueling pianos at our wedding and they were amazing! Our guests could not stop raving at how fun and different the entertainment was. They were great reception MC’s, incorporated the guest’s song requests, and made sure everyone was having a great time. So much fun!

This was our second booking with The Flying Ivories within one week's time, lol!
That is how fun and fantastic they are! We had a house party of about 100 people and everyone had a great night with lots of singing along and dancing thanks to the awesome tunes played and sung by Rick!

I hired the dueling pianos and the drummer for our National Sales Meeting and they were a Hit! We had about 100 people at our event, and this crew was fantastic!! Their music selection was terrific and the way they got the crowd involved was just wonderful. Everyone at the party raved about them, and the CEO liked them so much, I booked them again for our office staff holiday party this week!!

Ricky was great! Absolutely fabulous, I couldn't have asked for a better piano player - I'm amazed by how broad his range was. The crowd loved him, and the keyboard extension really looked like a baby grand piano. A+. I would definitely use him again.

The Flying Ivories were a fantastic addition to our Alumni Reunion Weekend here at Rivier University in Nashua, NH. The pianist's were on time, professional and respectful our our more conservative audience. Even so, they had the place singing along and no one wanted to leave. We got great feedback from our guests and look forward to working with you again next year!
