The Flying Saucers are a Rockabilly and Oldies band that performs the hits from the golden years of Rock and Roll (50's and early 60's). This includes songs from artists like The Beatles, Elvis, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Roy Orbison and many more. Styles of the music performed include early Rock-n-Roll, Country, Doo-Wop, Shag, Surf, Motown, and even a few vintage TV theme songs (think Batman and The Munsters). Fun stuff!
The Flying Saucers can be booked as a 5-9 piece band with a full horn section included.
Couldn't be more pleased with this group. Hired them for the surprise 70th birthday for my dad, who loves dancing and "real rock n' roll." They had just the vibe we were looking for, were friendly and seemed to enjoy themselves even though it was a pretty small event. Very professional in all arrangements. Two thumbs up.
"The Flying Saucers" arrived in Blowing Rock, NC to play our monthly Concert in the Park seris after being rained out in June as the "The Folsom Prison Gang" with just a few clouds in the sky. So after 30 minutes of playing much to my dismay the sprinkles began to fall but to my relief the audience just opened up the umbrellas and enjoyed the music of "I've Got Sunshine On A Cloudy Day". Unfortunately 20 minutes later the sky let loose and everyone left but the band, after about 10 minutes the rain ended and they continued to play pulling in a few of the old audience and some new audience members. After playing 10 minutes past their contract time they asked could they keep playing to which I answered they could play as long as they wanted to. These guys with their outgoing personalities and easy going manner make doing an event with them wonderful and the reason we are putting them on our list for future events.

The band uses a combination of props, the music and audience interaction to involve the crowd in the show keep everything lively. You won't find music stands on the stage with The Flying Saucers as they know their material and can focus on entertaining the crowd. It is all about people having a good time and walking away with a performance that they will remember.
The Flying Saucers consists of nine veteran musicians with years of entertainment experience under their belts including Ms. Brookley Baker who was a 2010 American Idol semi-finalist. All nine members are members of multiple bands and are continuously performing live shows all over the Southeast and East Coast. They know how to entertain and have earned a solid reputation with their professionalism and high-energy shows. The band also has its own professional level PA system and can provide a complete turn-key solution for most venues and events.
The Flying Saucers have a full horn section and can be booked with or without the horns creating the perfect entertainment for your event and budget.
The band has their own professional level sound system (QSC KW Series) that they can provide if necessary. For venues that already have a sound system in place, a stage plot document will be provided with sound requirements. The band is used to festival/fair type of environments where setup and breakdown time is limited.
