From an Acoustic Act to a 5-Piece Band, The Future Buds originated from a group of musicians who came together to share their passion for performing. Best known and described as Reggae-Funk Fusion, the band’s unique sound results from the blending of a large spectrum of genres. These include Reggae, Classic Rock, Funk, Top 40s, and more. When performing as a Full Band, The Future Buds incorporate multiple vocals, lead and rhythm guitars, bass, keyboard, synth, and drums to create a dynamic and diverse sound.

Our daughter’s wedding was a magical and memorable day thanks to the Band! We loved their original Rock Reggae songs and cover favorites, even the wedding ceremony music.They were engaging and professional, Great dance vibe, too!I would definitely hire them again for future events.

A great big thank you to Joey and the Band that made my daughter’s wedding so special. They were the highlight of the whole night. Some didn’t like the vegan food, some didn’t like the alcohol choices, but EVERYONE loved the artistry of their music. The compliments were endless and I appreciate all they did for us. Joey was a pleasure to work with. He was so accommodating, so quick to respond when I had questions, always answered his phone, and good natured, willing, and cooperative. This band is a GEM! We have used the Joey Calderaio Band as a regular music act at our Sunday GreenMarket event. When our employee holiday party rolled around, we reached out to them to provide the entertainment. They were versatile, professional and our guests raved about the performance quality and music selection. They remained professional throughout the performance & delivered exactly what we discussed in advance. The lead singer has a beautiful voice that is only enhanced by the high caliber of musicians that make up the band. We are looking forward to the next opportunity we have to use them! They are fun to hear and watch!

Highly highly recommend hiring these guys for any and all events!! Jahzilla played our outdoor beach wedding this Spring and they were THE best!! Joey is super professional and easy to work with, and the band’s set list is perfect for a fun party. Joey played an acoustic set during cocktail hour which was perfect, then served as announcer for speeches during dinner, and then the full band played the reception which was a blast. Everyone danced the whole time! Jahzilla rules. Our friends loved Jahzilla too and kept asking us how we found such a dope band to play our wedding. We’re super grateful for these talented guys!!
Another awesome thing- Jahzilla was scheduled to stop playing at 10:30pm but we were having so much fun that we asked them if they could keep playing for another hour and they said yes! We just added the cost to the bill later- super easy.

What to Expect
FAQs
Q: What is the booking process like?
A: First, fill out the inquiry form on the contact page on my website. Be sure to include the date, time, location, and act you're inquiring about (solo, duo, 5-piece band, etc.). We can also provide a quote with some multiple options. Once the inquiry form is sent, Joey will respond within 48 hours. If Joey is available, he'll discuss details via email. Once everything is confirmed you'll be sent a signed agreement in which you'll be asked to read over and sign. If Joey is unavailable, he'll respond with a list of highly recommended musicians in the area.
Q: Do you require a deposit?
A: Yes, typically we require a deposit of half the total compensation.
Q: Do you provide all your own sound equipment?
A: Yes, we provide all of our own equipment including a state-of-the-art sound system that can accommodate up to 500 guests.
Q: Do you have any special provisions?
A: We ask to be as close to an outlet as possible. We only need one outlet (preferably more) and can provide 30ft of extension cables but anything additional must be provided by the venue. We ask to be situated under cover to protect our equipment from the sun and/or rain, if performing outside.
Q: What time will you be arriving the day of the event?
A: We ensure our arrival with plenty of time to load in and sound check. Our set up takes about 20 minutes for acoustic and 45 minutes for full band. We typically arrive 2 hours early for weddings, 1 1/2 hours early for corporate events, and 1 hour early for private parties and restaurants.
Q: Do you carry liability insurance?
A: Yes, we carry liability insurance up to $1,000,000 general aggregate.
Q: Do you play music during your breaks?
A: We shuffle pre-cued music playlists during our breaks (genre depending on the event). If you'd like to shuffle your own playlist during our breaks, please forward it to Joey no less than 2 weeks before our performance.
Q: How will you be dressed?
A: You choose the attire between tropical, formal, business-casual, and all black-professional.
Q: Do you provide lighting?
A: Yes, we can provide band uplighting (upon request) for no additional charge.
Q: Can we request a song for you to learn?
A: We can learn a requested song(s) for $100 for acoustic performances and $200 for band performances. Please let us know at least a month in advance.
Q: Can we pick which songs you play?
A: Yes, you may customize the setlist for your event by making a list of songs that you do/do not want to hear. Check out the song list page on our website.
Q: Can you perform with a female singer?
A: Yes, we are available to perform alongside a female singer (upon availability).
Q: Are you able to provide additional speakers so we can hear you in multiple rooms?
A: Yes, we have a wireless speaker that can be placed up to 50ft away from our gear (+ $200 fee).
Q: Do you provide a stage or tent?
A: We do NOT provide a stage or tent but would be happy to use them, if provided by the venue. Stage size will vary on our arrangement.
Q: Are you available to perform at weddings?
A: We are available to perform at weddings upon special request. Please reach out for specific details.
Q: Do you have an MC?
A: We don't offer an Event MC; however, Joey can make small announcements. If you'd like an MC we can offer some suggestions.
Q: Can you provide a wireless microphone for speeches?
A: We can provide a wireless microphone for a $100 additional charge.

They are a young group of professional musicians that perform throughout South Florida, though they are also available to travel nationwide. Previous events include performing with Joey Calderaio (lead vocals) at SunFest 2022, Reggae Rise Up 2021, and Orange Bowl VIP Party as well as thousands of weddings, private parties, and corporate events. The Future Buds are perfect for welcome receptions and can take it to a full dance party when needed. They are an incredible group of artists that deliver a fun and unique vibe to any celebration.
