Overview
Glen Perry is an exceptional musician and a pleasure to work with. He treats every performance as a job he loves doing. Based in San Francisco, he plays around the Bay Area at various events.
His music is all original compositions and is performed instrumentally (no singing), includes Rock, Blues, Reggae, etc.
His guitar playing has been compared to Mark Knopfler, Carlos Santana, Dickey Betts, and Jerry Garcia, among others, and is accompanied by professional quality backing tracks for the sound of a full band and the convenience and lower price of dealing with one person.
Glen has been performing professionally since 1971 and knows how to tailor his show to pretty much any occasion.

This man is no ordinary busker.
We first saw him years ago down at The Wharf in The City and today I was pleasantly surprised to see him at the Marin Farmer's Market.
His playing is exceptional.
And his modest demeanor is welcoming, if not comforting.

Hi Dyann, thank you so much for that awesome review! It was a fun day at the Marin market today, even in the occasional rain showers! I'm not on Facebook, but my music is on Amazon, Spotify, Apple Music, and all the other online music stores. If you go on Amazon or Spotify and search for Glen Perry you'll see it. So far I think there's only about 5 or 6 songs online but I'm adding more each day so soon there'll be much more.

My wife and I were at the Fisherman’s wharf last weekend and stopped to listen to some great guitar work by Glen. I bought a CD on the spot after listening to his music. Stopped for a minute at the wharf and stayed for a long time- fantastic listening and a truly enjoyable experience. I just assumed I’d be able to find a way to purchase your music online, but haven’t had any luck yet. Would love a website or contact info to purchase your music. Tried on bandmix, but contact required a paid subscription. Hope to hear from you.

I was able to enjoy your music in San Francisco on October 7, 2017, I purchased a USB device you had available, however when I tried to relive the experience the USB was corrupt and unable to play. I was looking forward to listening to your music without the street noise to interfere.

This man is awesome! I heard him in San Francisco, and he was outrageously excellent! He had two CDs for sale and I only got one, and have been looking to get the other and anything else he might have for sale. His Santana sound is perfect; and his reggae is excellent.

Thank you Steve for your kind words! I can't get enough of playing Santana music, and it keeps my chops up, learning his one of a kind melodies. He's been a hero to me since I first picked up a guitar 50 years ago.

What to Expect
My performance consists of myself playing electric guitar, accompanied by backing tracks which include the other instruments such as drums, bass guitar, keyboards, etc. It is a One-Man-Band, but sounds very convincingly like a 4 or 5 piece full band, and can be adjusted to whatever loudness and energy that will be appropriate for your event.
The music is all original compositions, in a variety of styles, including Rock, Reggae, Blues, and Latin.
The songs are all instrumental arrangements, without singing.
The equipment setup will include the main sound system speakers, my guitar amplifier, and a laptop to control the backing tracks. I can supply a microphone if you would like to make announcements etc.
I am very easy to work with, and my shows have a way of always being very well received by all ages from 3 to 103!

A very broad range of influences, including Classic Rock bands such as Dire Straits, Allman Brothers, Steely Dan, Santana, etc, and also influenced by some of the newer rock and alternative styles.
All in all, there is an energetic, feel good vibe, excellent for either dancing or listening, always appreciated by every age group, even the kids!
