The Great Escape STL

The Great Escape can work at any level.... lights, sound, indoor , outdoor, large event size stages to simple club set ups. What’s different?? You will see a 5 piece style band. One of the notable differences Is having a 5th member (Jim) who brings 4 different keyboards as the centerpiece to every show and loves to break out some of your favorite piano sing along classics (like Elton John for instance, Jim enjoys the power of the full band behind him while performing. Another notable difference is everyone in the band sings. You will enjoy a very big vocal experience as the band works very hard to keep pace with our amazing lead singer female vocalist Becqui Marshall. She is simply an amazing vocalist. Tyronne, our Bass player is very a groove oriented bass player who does not shy away from some of the more complex grooves with an aggressive attack on the bass bringing the bass to you almost in a form of GRAVITY!!! Eddie, on drums has a very unique style, sings in almost every song and is known for his hilarious facial expressions all night long and big smile all day every day. Scott the Guitar player works who really works to compliment the band and fill out the overall sound. He simply enjoys the band and seeing others enjoying the band as well being a part of energy filling the room the room/Venue.

This is a good section, because many times clients just don’t know... and guess what? That’s 100% okay!!!! We want to help... so your gonna hire a band... oh boy, right? It’s not that bad...

Here are some considerations you may want know for yourself (be thinking about) as well as asking the band about....

1). Is it indoor or outdoor? (This is a big one!!!)
If outdoors? Is it covered for rain? Is power available? Will a generator be needed ? These are things that can be all figured out, but you want to consider.

2) Power. Most bands today can run off 2 or 3 regular residential 15- 20 amp circuits. 2 is done all the time , 3 is better. And well.... 1 can be a real stretch.

3) Day or Night time lighting considerations. Bands look best under stage lights when it’s dark. Easy to do indoors 24/7. Outdoors at high noon you may not need much? It’s hard to see a def leppard lightshow with lasers mid-day outside. Consult your band about your lighting considerations, they can help you.

4) load in / load out. Yes, it can and will look like a small moving company for about an hour or so to set up and also the same to tear down. Bands are good at this and there is really very little for you to do accept understand that things will be rolling in , unpacked or packed, erected or taken down, and lots of activity may be going on during this process. You may want to work with the band for the best time to do this before show time. Also understand she the band stops playing , there is that additional load out time still needed for your venue/place.

Technical requirements for the great escape are really none... more of just good communication. We will handle it for you. We just would like to understand the nature of your show so we can best serve you and give you the best possible show EVER!!!
